Howdy Mac and others:
That sounds great, I'm glad you're in! Thank you very much for the beer assistance!!!
Don't worry about throwing, running, or catching; we really need you there to heckle from the sidelines.
The team is looking a little thin right now (we need several players). As the organizer (i.e., the guy who ponied up the $275 entry fee), what I'm really looking for is some people to make a firm commitment to play and party hard (no bailers)! The competition is strong and it'd be great to make a good showing. Oh yeah, in the bid, I mentioned that we'd have 100% party participation.
As a way to express your "firm commitment", I'm asking for a check for $20 (=$275/14) from each player. Hopefully, this will assure that we have enough, but not too many players.
For those of you not familiar with this tourney, it is one of the best. (It also doesn't hurt that the average temp is 70 degrees!)
If you are interested, email me. The tourney site is here:
Yeehaw? ... Yeehaw!!!

p.s.
I'm not sure why they have us from Fort Collins, I put down Durango on the bid. I'll send them an email to correct this.

Hey there Jimbo and others. I'm ready to commit to Tempe. Yeehaw!
I'm good to go just so long as I'm not expected to be in shape or able to
throw, run or catch. :-)
So who's on the team so far?
I'll call Ska to try to arrange for beer. I assume I should just try to get
as much as they'll give us. If I remember correctly, Jim promised some beer
to the tourney organizers. And of course Bryan's van will need plenty of
fuel to make the long trip to Tempe.
Cheers,
Mac
