Go, Brady! I am more anxious than ever for spring
now. It will be a bummer not being on the west coast,
though, since those California home games are often
not televised where I live or they start too late to
watch to completion.

Brady Anderson Agrees to Padres Deal
.c The Associated Press
SAN DIEGO (AP) - Free agent outfielder Brady Anderson agreed Friday to
a minor league deal with the San Diego Padres that includes an
invitation to spring training.
The 38-year-old outfielder, who hit 50 home runs for Baltimore in
1996, was released by the Cleveland Indians on May 21 after starting
the season batting just .163.
``He's going to have to go to spring training and win a job, and he
knows that,'' said Anderson's agent, Jeff Borris. If Anderson makes it
with the big league club, he'll earn approximately $500,000.
Anderson, who can play all three outfield positions, grew up in
northern San Diego County and graduated from Carlsbad High in 1982.
``He's real happy about getting a chance to play at home,'' Borris said.
Neither Anderson nor Padres general manager Kevin Towers could be
reached for comment.
Anderson made his big league debut with Boston in 1988 and was traded
to Baltimore later that season along with Curt Schilling for Mike
Boddicker. He was with the Orioles through 2001, when he hit just .202.

Hi, I must have missed the Orioles link about Brady's plans. If
anyone could let me know what it said, or how to get it back again, I
would greatly appreciate it. I see you say that Brady will continue
to play ball. Where and when?
Thanks for the info

Don't forget! December 10th at the Baltimore Arena Brady will defend
his Orioles Challenge title against Gary Matthews Jr. Check out
www.tennischallenge.org for more details.
Danny,
Thanks so much for that Orioles link!
I thirst for Brady information, so kudos to you for
quenching it a bit.
I am thrilled that Brady plans to continue playing
ball, since he is perfectly suited for it, BUT ....
.... that does NOT mean he must forego the
underwear-modeling career!
You are So correct that Brady would be PERFECT as an
underwear model, but those two careers need not be
mutually exclusive. Brady can easily use his
well-proportioned frame to model during baseball's
off-season! In fact, I would be more than happy to
get him started on his new off-season career, either
as amateur photographer or fitter!
Thanks again for the news, buddy!

Hey, all! Check out the Orioles site. There's an article about where Brady has
been since he was relieved from Cleveland and what his future plans are.
I guess we'll have to wait a little longer for him to start that underwear
modeling career he'd be perfect for...

I was there. It was a fun evening, but it need improvements. Like
everyong else, I was disappointed that Brady was late, but I would
have be shocked if he had been on time.

Brady is scheduled to attend this event.
Tickets Now Available for October 20-21 World Series Celebration and
Golf Tournament
The Foundation will be hosting a unique fundraising event October 20-
21. It starts on Sunday the 20th at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen. The
night will start with a baseball skills demonstration, followed by a
Q&A session where the fans will get a chance to ask questions
directly to the ballplayers. A fireworks show will follow just before
8:00. Fans will also be able to wander the concourse, meet the
ballplayers, bid on some auction items, and buy dinner.
Then at 8:00 we will begin simulcasting Game Two of the World Series
on our video board - except at various times throughout the game we
will turn down the volume of the Fox broadcast and talk to some of
our special guests about the game or about their own World Series
experiences.
For example, suppose there is a play like Derek Jeter's amazing relay
in last year's playoffs. Right after it happens on the big screen,
Cal and Bill might go out on our field at Ripken Stadium and
demonstrate for the fans what just happened and why it was so
remarkable. Fans will again have a chance to ask questions back to
them.
It's a rare opportunity to get an "insider's view" of the World
Series from the people who have played in it.
Tickets are just $10 are available now through TicketMaster at 410-
481-S-E-A-T, or at www.TicketMaster.com. You can also stop by the
Ripken Stadium box office Monday through Friday from 9 to 4, or call
there at 410-297-9292.
On Monday, October 21, the action will continue at beautiful Mountain
Branch Golf Course in Joppa with a golf tournament. Additional stars
will be on hand, including Brooks Robinson and Mike Bordick.
Foursomes are available for $5000, include several great items, and
are largely tax deductible. For more information call the Foundation
at 410-823-0808.

What newspaper has that info? I can't believe any paper would do a
story on a guy who has been MIA since May.

Hi all. I e-mailed Ken Rosenthal about Brady making a return back to
baseball. He said that Brady wont accept a minor league contract.
If he had accepted one, he might have been back up in the big leagues
by now. I thought i'd share that with everyone who is as big of fan
as I am of him. take care!
i hate to admit it, but i think that i have given up hoping that he
will return to baseball this season, or ever :(
i used to have a brady section on my homepage. actually i still do. i
was sad when he was let go. this is all i could say after i found out
he was released by the indians:
http://www.geocities.com/kadeliah/brady2.html
i still have my brady pictures and posters on my walls. i even have a
little picture of him on my desk.
i hope he is having a good time where ever he is and having fun as
whatever he is doing.
best wishes!

This baseball season has been distressing in a lot of
ways, even more so with Brady absent. I would love to
see some dramatic developments during the play-offs.

I would glady post on our man Brady, but I have heard
and read nothing about him--where he is, what he is
doing, or with whom he is doing it!
Any news about his plans would be welcome!

news about him that I have seen since the Indians released him. I
miss not hearing his witty quotes or seeing him make an excellent
play.
