End of Season Downtown Boathouse Volunteer Party

The Boathouse volunteer party will be held on Monday, 30 November 2009,(that's
the Monday after Thanksgiving!) 6:00-9:00pm at the General Seminary in Chelsea,
440 21st Street (bw 9th and 10th avenues) in the Fosbroke and Hobart rooms.
Check in at the front desk and tell them you are going to the Boathouse party in
Fosbroke and Hobart (across from the Chapel, but ask them to direct you). Come
celebrate the end of the season with us!

If you would like to help with the party, please send an email to
volunteer@.... While the Boathouse will be providing
traditional Boathouse fare, home baked desserts or savoury snacks are always
welcome.

are some travelin' tips!
(Take the 126 NJ Transit bus to Hoboken from the Port Authority.
Get tickets by the NJ bus ticket window or machines They run every 20 minutes on
Sunday. Can't buy tickets on the bus. It's $2.55 Just get off at 13th and
Washington Street and walk to the river to Lua, 1300 Sinatra Drive.
Or take the NY Waterway Ferry from 39th St. It drops off folks right next to
Lua! Or take the Path train if you you are in the mood to walk 13 blocks uptown.
Just head to 13th and the Hudson River.)

The pool program continues on Saturdays from 11am-3pm. in Brooklyn,
The Bushwick campus pool is located at 400 Irving Ave. The Wyckoff/Myrtle on the
the J and L trains. is a few blocks away,the L tends to run more frequently on
Saturdays. We have
space for volunteers on a two-hour session.
The last two hours are dedicated to teaching kayak basics to a group of 7 high
Harbor school students. Active volunteers need to sign up to participate and be
able to assist during the student sessions.

The Hoboken Cove Community Boathouse is having a rockin' fundraiser at Lua in
Hoboken November 22nd 4-7 pm. Located right by the NY Waterway Ferry that goes
to uptown Hoboken. 1300 Sinatra Drive.

Hoboken Cove Comunity Boathouse
Very Happening  Fundraiser-November 22nd @ Lua in Hoboken   4-7pm!

Let's face it -by November 22nd- we will all have cabin fever and will be in
need of a good party!  Party for a good cause... We are trying to buy a whole
bunch of boats this year. And we have a second boathouse in our Hoboken park 
plans.

Please come support free river access in Hoboken and party down in a very
happening place on the waterfront.  Yummy tapas, very cool, clubby place--this
Lua spot. Folks can take the Hoboken uptown ferry right to Lua's doorstep!   Lua
is located very close to our new boathouse. Lua's address is 1300 Sinatra Drive
in Hoboken. Quite the view of the NY skyline...It will be 4-7pm.   Fun raffle,
comedian  and entertainment for the kiddies too!  To buy tickets in
advance....(And our new cool t-shirts..)
