We have the final result of the recent election for the new boar of Directors.
The results are as follows:
We sent out 49 ballots, and got 43 back.

We only have 1 weekend left in our public program. The last day of our season
will be Monday, October 13th, Columbus Day.
We are done with morning trips, on water classes and any afternoon programs. The
water is getting cooler but is still pretty warm but the air can often have a
chill. Dress appropriately
Thanks to everyone that made this season go as well as it has.
There are still a few things going on.

Details of Our End of Season Party and the Winter Pool Program have not been
finalized. There will be more info posted soon.

On Sturdy October 11th. New York Kayak will be running Cold Water Seminar at
Pier 40 at 10AM Anyone who is the equipment, skills and risks of Cold water
should attend.

On Octorber 12th The New York Riverfest is happening. See
http://www.nywaterfest.org/ for more details. There are two events that will
take place at our Pier 96 location. One is the Big Apple Splash, that will
involve inflating rafts and launching them at Pier 96. The other is the a kayak
"poker run" will have a stop at Pier 96.
There are also a number of events taking place at Pier 40, although these are
being coordinated by New York Kayak and we are not directly involved in any of
these events, except our normal public paddling schedule.
