We only have 2 weekends left in our public program. We are done with morning
trips, on water classes and any afternoon programs. The water is getting cooler
but is still pretty warm but the air can often have a chill. Dress appropriately
Thanks to everyone that made this season go as well as it has.
There are still a few things going on.

We have a group of Kids from Styvesant High School coming to Pier 40 at 3:30 to
paddle on Thursday, October 2nd. (Weather Permitting) Any one who wants to come
down and help will be appreciated. thanks

The last monthly public meeting will be held at our Pier 96 Location on Tuesday,
October 7th. at 6:30PM

On Octorber 12th The New York Riverfest is happening. See
http://www.nywaterfest.org/ for more details. There are two events that will
take place at our Pier 96 location. One is the Big Apple Splash, that will
involve inflating rafts and launching them at Pier 96. The other is the a kayak
"poker run" will have a stop at Pier 96.
There are also a number of events taking place at Pier 40, although these are
being coordinated by New York Kayak and we are not directly involved in any of
these events, except our normal public paddling schedule.
