Dear boathouse volunteer:

On Friday August 15th. Ballots for a new board of directors were mailed to all
paid members of the downtown boathouse. It is VERY important that you return the
ballot in the included, stamped envelope by September 15th. If enough ballots
are not received by the closing date the result will not count. So PLEASE send
the ballots back as soon as you can.

On Monday August 25th. There will be a group from the The Hyde School coming by
from 10:30AM to 1PM coming by our Pier 96 location. If you can come by and help
it will be appreciated.

On August 23rd the Hoboken Cove boathouse will be running a free kayaking day at
the new Maxwell House Beach boathouse. See http://www.hobokencoveboathouse.org/

On Sunday August 24 there another free kayaking and rowing day at the Brooklyn
Bridge Park in Dumbo. The last event went great and was very busy. We need
volunteers to help with the next event on Sunday.

The program starts at runs from 2PM until 6 on Sunday.

They plan to include kayaking and rowing in the new park, so far the
agency, and the conservancy have been very supportive of human powered
boating.
