Dear Boathouse volunteer
We have moved to new system for sending out volunteer emails. This in being done
for a number of technical reasons that we don't need to go into, but it
necessary.
THIS IS THE LAST EMAIL BEING SENT OUT USING THE OLD SYSTEM
If you wish to keep receiving Volunteer email after May 1st you must register
your email address at
http://downtownboathouse.org/phpBB2/
The address of the BBS is also on the volunteer page. If you encounter an error
please try again.
Please read the Welcome forum for an overview of the forums and what is
available and how to register or have yourself removed from the system.
Although this is a bulletin board you do not need to post anything, read any
forums or do anything beyond register to continue receiving boathouse volunteer
emails.
You don't have to put a real name in but you do need to put in a real email
address and you will receive a confirmation email to verify your email address
that you must reply to to activate you account Your email and membership is not
made public in anyway. If you post to a forum your username is shown and you can
receive email or a private message at your username. People sending you message
will still not see your email address.
This would also be a good time to renew your boathouse membership for 2008. Have
a look at http://downtownboathouse.org/membership.html for details of membership
REMEMBER. IF YOU DO NOT REGISTER, YOU WILL NO LONGER RECEIVE ANY MORE DOWNTOWN

The Boathouse is going to run a CPR/First Aid class for our volunteers. The
class will be held on Saturday, May 10 from 10AM to 4PM. The Boathouse will pay
for the class, but we encourage any volunteer who can afford it to become a
member of the Boathouse and make a $50 membership contribution to help us offset
the costs for the instructors, materials, and certification.
Membership is not required for the class, it's optional. See:
http://www.downtownboathouse.org/membership.html for a detailed description of
our membership policy.
The class will be held at:

water. This would also be a good time to review the boathouse public boat use
policy. it can be downloaded at
http://downtownboathouse.org/downloads/pub_boat08.pdf. It is also posted in the
front cover of the log book kept at the desk at Pier 96.
