Dear Boathouse Volunteer:

New York Water Fest is coming up this Sunday, 10/14, and we need
volunteers at Pier 96. See: http://nywaterfest.org for details.

Two of the Water Fest events will be starting from Pier 96, so it will
be quite busy. If you aren't entering one of the races, please
consider coming to help volunteer to run our program, and deal with
the spectators, many of whom will undoubtedly want to participate in
our public program. It will be a very busy day, and we need volunteers,
especially between 12-3pm.

Public boat authorized user list

This is the last weekend of the season. Public programs will end on
Sunday 10/14. Please be reminded of the public boat usage rules,
which are in effect year-round. Public boats may not be loaned to
friends or taken out of the embayment by volunteers who are not on the
authorized user list. Also note that public boats must be taken out
in groups of at least two. So it is NOT ok to lend your private boat
to a friend, and take public boat for yourself. Public boats may only
be used for trips in the local waters that start and end at the
Boathouse. Public boats may never be transported by car, truck, or
trailer without the written permission of a Downtown Boathouse officer,
and under the supervision of a public trip leader.

Ave (bw 20th & 21st). Please save the date and watch your volunteer

not received your BCU patch, please send an email to

at the end of the year party on November 16th.
