Dear Boathouse Volunteer.


Thanks for all those who signed-up for the Paddlesport Show
in NJ. I'll get back to you all with details soon. We now have
enough people to man the booth.

Jim Wetteroth, our president, wanted to let everyone know about
a hearing that is coming up at the Community board #1 this week.
The hearing concerns the Hudson River Park Trusts plans for the
new Boathouse at Pier 26.

There will not be an opportunity to speak, because it is a
committee meeting rather than, a full board meeting, but it helps
to have people, especially people who live in lower Manhattan, come to
the meeting to show support for the Boathouse. Jim will be making
comments to the committee about the proposed design that the park
has submitted.

The meeting is this Wednesday, Feb 21, at 49-51 Chambers Street,
6:00 PM, 7th floor. Bring a picture ID. There is a security checkpoint
so be sure not to bring any pocketknives or anything else that might
be considered a weapon.
