But good luck. I'll probably get hired to do a rewrite anyway.

hey you guys,
i have a script (as National Lampoon described it, Harold and Kumar meets Risky Business) out there and i'm down to just a few buyers at this point. Bill Gerber took it into Fox Atomic and they'll pick it up, attachment contingent. still waiting to hear back New Line, Dreamworks and Sony and a couple others. Farrelly Brothers loved it, but insisted on taking it to Fox Atomic, which was already given to Gerber...
sooooooooo, if anybody has some loose change laying around, say $250,000, just to get a bidding war going, can you call my manager with an offer?
works. sidekick needs to be half-asian. i suppose we could do like a 'kung fu'/david carradine thing, and in that case, kirby can be the asian guy.

Sounds like you need attachments, not financing. Look no further! I picture Rosie in the lead role, with Travis and Kirby as his nerdy sidekicks, and Mike Muhny as the fratboy who steals his girlfriend/guinea pig. Vince is the principal who's out to stop them, and Pierson is the near-sighted hitman he hires.
I can already see the poster. Boffo, baby, boffo!

Hi all,
Forget about Paris, but not about Slackuatro! There'll be sun. There'll
be water. There'll be popsicles. There'll even be a canopy. More info
and directions at: http://laout.org/pickup/cornfields.htm.

Hey,
I see you guys use this group forum to arrange ultimate games, and I
wanted to suggest something might make your lives a little easier. I
work for Sportsvite.com, a new social network entirely devoted to
recreational athletes. Aside from helping you keep in touch with your
current teammates, the site lets you search for new players to join
your pickup game or tournament -- for instance, I ran a quick search
in the LA area, and found close to 300 ultimate players that are
active Sportsvite members. It also has incredibly cool and useful
features that let you set up games, send game invites and reminders to
players and post messages for the team, check out playing locations,
and keep tabs on scores and recaps after each game. It even lets you
add photos and videos of your games and team. Best of all, Sportsvite
is free.
I'd like to invite you to check our site out and set up your profile,
which is a quick and easy process. I'm sure you'll love it just as
much as we do.
http://www.sportsvite.com/lt?lt-p=81
We're still growing, and we really appreciate our new members' input.
We make sure to answer every email personally, so please feel free to
contact me with any questions, or feedback on the site.
Also, check out this story ABC just ran about Sportsvite:

Aloha slackers and friends!
The essentials:
What: Slackuatro - the ultimate pick-up game of the summer!
When: Wed June 20, 4pm-dark (weekly 'til Labor Day).
Where: ***NEW LOCATION*** LA State Historic Park (aka, the Cornfields):
1245 North Spring Street, Los Angeles 90012 (north of Chinatown, east of
the train tracks).
Why: Because it's there.
Directions from Los Feliz / Silver Lake
- Go south on Riverside Dr.
- Turn right onto San Fernando Rd.
- Continue straight, and turn right onto Broadway (1 block after San
Fernando Rd becomes Avenue 20).
- Continue straight onto Spring St.
- Turn right at the park entrance (before reaching College St), which kinda
looks like a small driveway, but actually leads to an unpaved road.
- Park when you get to the lot and walk towards the train tracks.
Background:
We had a vigorous Slackuatro session at Oak Grove Park last week, but we
were kicked out at 5:30pm by a swarm of softball people who have a permit
5:30-7pm for the summer. The Cornfields are a great substitue - they host
a fun and laid-back pick-up game on Sundays 10am-1pm, and no one can
reserve the field because it's part of a state park. The 4pm start time
helps to minimize time in traffic and preempts random soccer bozos with
normal jobs from taking over the field. If you also help the economy by
pursuing a job that keeps you at the office after 4pm, please feel free to
show up when you can. The Slackuatro motto is:
"It *still* works because you don't, but even if you do"
c u at Slackuatro!
Ran.

They also do cruises & vacation packages for dogs & people too!
I know our group was really excited about being able to fly their dogs

I'm back in the city of Angels (seen any lately?) after 6 insane
months on Bourbon St. in New Orleans. I'm here to work on my tan, work
off the jambalaya, and work on (ie. direct) a short film that I wrote
as a warm-up to the follow-up to 'Burning Annie.' Hope to shoot in...
June? August? early July? Yeah.

I'm casting a non-union PSA for "Flex Your Power," the California
statewide energy efficiency marketing and outreach campaign. The
directors definitely want to see non-actors, so anyone who is
interested can come audition. There is pay, and it's actaually pretty
decent ($1500).
You can check out the flyer I've been posting around town:
http://theparkland.org/fyp/FlexYourPowerCasting.jpg
Or, the craigslist ad:

Or, just email the casting team:

See y'all on Sunday, or....I guess earlier if you come to audition....

Yeah dog. When you win, don't eat it- it's metal. I
