We had cones set up diagonally until about
4.15-4.30 or so. I got home so early my wife said, ‘what happened??’
I just grunted. I think we had about 5 total, including Smalls. We could have
played a wicked game of twos, but Rosie didna wanna. And the others were new to
the park and didn’t have cleats. On the plus side there were no dogs
around to hassle us.
The park has reseeded that spot in another
desperate attempt to grow plants in the desert. I suspect it will be there
awhile to protect the tender grasslings.
See you all this weekend or you might get
another heated email from Rosie. Berf.

Hmph
I drove
by around 4:45 to a deserted field and only one car parked alongside the
park. Also, an orange fence sitting in the middle of what would be our
field. Anybody know what that is and how long it may be there?
Was there a game last week?
Michael

Okay,
people. I can only liken my situation at the field yesterday to
Nick Nolte's character in Hotel Rwanda. Everyone else abandoned me,
but I am still out there, ready to play frisbee, rescue Hutus,
whatever. I refuse to see our Sunday game die without a fight. If i
have to be the last one there when the Tutsis come with their
machetes, then so be it. i will stand my ground. I will not look
away as genocide happens. Never again, my friends, never again. I
will not go to the Rose Bowl game. I can't. I mean, i generally
dislike you guys, but i can't start all over again with a new group of
people to dislike. Plus, someday I'll talk to the girl with the big
dog and her mom in the Eternal Leg Cast and then we will get married
and don't you all want to be invited? Yes, yes you do. Cuz there
will be bridesmaids. So there.
So, Sunday, I expect to see people, ready to play, at 2:30. No
excuses. No "I have babies now" or "It's too hot" or
"I live in New Orleans".
None of which should conflict with frisbee. I myself have
a guinea pig to hug but I tear myself away for a few hours of disc.
You can too. You must. Think of the African babies.
Unless, of course, there are hot chicks at the Rose Bowl Game. In
that case, I'm going to Pasadena.

PS. Don't forget I'm doing a FREE show at the Hollywood Improv Sunday
night at 7. (Well, it's free if you email me beforehand. Otherwise,
it's 10-15 bucks. something like that.) Please let me know if you're
coming so I can get you on the list.
