Hi Team,
If Des Moines schools are cancelled tomorrow because of weather, training will be postponed; most likely to Thursday night. Jeff will be there with clothing sizing samples either tomorrow night if we train, or at the training make-up, which would likely be Thursday night. We'll send out a message mid-morning about training. Right now it looks like the worse storms are north and south of us...here is Ed Wilson's forecast. I'm guessing we will train tomorrow night.

***Winter Weather Advisory***
RAIN AND FREEZING RAIN TONIGHT (Monday night). Light snow expected early tomorrow (Tuesday) morning with gusty wind. The storm system is passing to the south of us and using up much of the moisture we expected.
This will mean a chance for freezing rain after midnight and light snow accumulation of 1" to 3". I expect less than 2" in Des Moines.
There will be a problem with blowing snow behind the system tomorrow...but the travel will not be as bad as we expected.
Cold air holds on for Wednesday. Highs only in the 20s.
Warmer temperatures return for the end of the week and weekend.
Have a safe night.... Ed

Some of you have attended the Iowa Bicycle Coalitions "Bike Night," a celebration of cycling with a noted speaker. This year the speaker is the inventor of mountain biking and the namesake of the Gary Fisher brand. I've attended with my wife Terri the last few years, and will likely attend this year. If enough of us want to go, we can get one or more tables of 8 people. Tickets are $35 each...everyone pays their own way.... (I'm not sure how much if any of this goes to Iowa Bicycling Coalition or how much of this is tax deductible, but they raise money through a silent auction at the dinner.). The dinner is Saturday night, January 24 at the Holiday Inn in downtown Des Moines.
Let me know this week if you would like to attend. If there are enough of us, I will reserve a table and you can all pay me when you see me at practice.
