I am in agreement about Dixie being more into Solo 1 and club. I
enjoy Solo 2, but as I am new to Solo 1, I had to go to other sites
to find any information, contacts, rules, etc. I found that there
were few individules in Dixie that are moving toward Solo 1 and I
tagged along. I am still trying to get copies of rules, car classes,
and car reqirements. So far, it has been hit and miss, mostly picking
other members brains... yea, sometimes thats slim pickins. Another
problem is there always seems to be a conflick in the interpretation
of a rule for a spicific car or class.
To have infomation on a web site, would give a person a place to go
and get educated enough to ask questions. Some people hesitate to ask
for fear of looking unworldly. Putting more info on the dixie web
site would be very helpful for people like me wanting to venture out
to other forms of racing, solo 1, club, NASA (rocket racing right?).
It would help have links to info sites and or discriptions of other
forms or racing. I personally would like to have more info on club
racing. At this time I have no clue what it intails and don't know
who to talk to to get info. (back to picking brains).
At the last meeting, I was asked to give a race report. It was a bit
unnerving to be off the cuff, but it was a good idea and I would love
to do it again. This time I will keep track of things in racing and
give a better report. I will also use this medium to pass along any
and all racing related info I can get. PLease If you know of
somthing, pass it along also. IE, rule changes, race courses needing
workers, free tires.....
just my thought, autabe your. :-) Timmi
