Hi, I know for a fact that the trails at Angwin are open to mountain
bikers. They mention the mountain biking trails several times on PUC's
website. Here is an example I took from their website:

"Also our college boasts some of the best mountain biking trails
around, and outdoor enthusiasts from all over the Bay area make the
drive to Angwin for just this reason. What most people don't realize
is that the trails are part of PUC's private property. While
excursions out to our backwoods are free of charge to the public,
trail maintenance is costly, and PUC bears this expense without
complaint."

After doing some research, I believe Angwin is not open to riders except for a few races a year, one of them being a HS league race.

I have not ridden in Angwin, so I am sorry if you guys are talking about a different place than where the Howell Mountain Challenge is held, on Pacific Union College Land.

But I have to insist that no team rides take place on trails which bikes are banned.

While you may have ridden on these trails, and you know 14 different people who say it is ok to ride there, if we, and I mean our team, get caught riding illegally, not only would the punishments be severe (suspensions), this would be a black eye on the entire league.

Keep in mind there are people who complain about the league using legal trails to train on: http://www.marinij.com/marinvoice/ci_5782489

I advise going to China Camp or Joaquin Miller.

I talked to my uncle and he said the trails should be fine. He said he
could be there at 9:45. I am going to leave from home so I will meet
everyone at Angwin. Which entrance do you want to meet at? I usually
leave from Las Posadas Rd.

Anguin sounds cool. Im good to drive or watever. Also were had a few
complaints and or comments about the jersey and so at school today were
looked at a darker blue and darker green. The blue is the body and
green sleves. White is still the details. How does that sound?

Fine with me.  I was at China Camp today.  There was some tree fall from last week's storms, but otherwise it held up fine.  A little muddy, but it is mountain biking.

Coaches, Riders and Parents,
There will be a mandatory Parent  and rider meeting on Tuesday night at College Park High School in room S-3 (Lesley Jensen's classroom)  6pm
Room S-3 is at the back of the school (201 Viking Drive, Pleasant Hill) and if you drive between the High School and the Jr. High School to the back parking lot, park, then walk behind the school along the tennis courts, my back door is the first door in the second building.  My turquiose Honda will be parked by the back door.
It is very important that we meet regarding scheduling and Jersey ordering.  Parents should bring their checkbooks so we can get the jersey order sent in.  Also waivers need to be signed.
With out a deposit we will not be able to order our jerseys.  Also I will bring various sizes for the riders to try on so they can order the correct size.  We need a minimun of 15 jerseys ordered so if any parent or coach would like a jersey that would be helpful. The jerseys will cost around $45-50 each.
I have an agenda of 10 items to go over.
Calendars will be handed out so we can plan our training rides, go over the race schedule and training programs.
Hopefully everyone will be present.  You can call me with questions or concerns

I am selling a new Cannondale hardtail frame size Petite, which is
their XS, color white. The frame has disc tabs and v-brake posts.

I got it from the Cannondale rep who is moving away.

I am planning on selling it on Craigslist/Ebay for $150, but for
anyone who might want it, $125. I will also be willing to sell it to
a teenager for $100.

I also have a Headshok fork for it, but it will require a new
cartridge and headset. The fork is free but the parts to make it work
will be $185 from Cannondale (and I will install the fork if someone
buys it with the frame). BTW, the fork is disc only.

This is a good frame for someone with a lot of parts, but I might also
be able to acquire a complete group as well.

The Sierra Trails Stewardship, the people who maintain the trails
around Downieville, are planning a teen trail weekend for Jan 11-13th.
The entire team is invited, including parents.

We would leave from Pleasant Hill Cyclery at 7:30pm on Friday, Jan
11th, and drive to Downieville, arriving at 10:30pm.

The next morning, we are going to work on the North Yuba Extension, a
trail connecting from town to the North Yuba Trail. It will be about
4-6 miles of hiking and about 2-3 hours of trail building.

On Sunday, we would ride the North Yuba trail, a great 17 mile XC ride.

We are going to stay at the Yuba Expeditions home in Downieville,
530-289-2707, and all meals are provided courtesy of the Stewardship.
Tim Gott, a Stewarship board member, and I will be driving, and we
have room for 4 people and their bikes.

Please email me or call me for more information and to confirm a spot.

Thanks.

Hi,
Tomorrow I will still plan on riding out of Long's in W.C. at 10:30 am for an easy 2 hour road spin.  Rain cancells, but I think it will hold off.  So far Lauren from UC Santa Barbara, and Ye are coming for sure.
Sunday the group decided today to ride up at Skyline in Napa.  Meet at College Park H.S. in Pleasant Hill (front parking lot) to carpool at 8:30.  Ride leaders will be Daniel Patten (former CPHS student) and Craig.  I will be out of town, but will be reachable on my cell phone for questions.  Bring $5 to pay to get into Skyline as it is private land.  Lots of singletrack!!!

Sunday there will be a Tam Rancho Ride ...meet at Java hut in Fairfax
around 9:30. Ride will roll at 10am. Steve Fong is leading the ride.
The College Park boys will be there..Patrick, Morad, Cody and Tom. I
hope Ben feels better and he can join in too, along with Alex.
I will be there at the start to lead a road ride if anyone would
rather do that...4 hour ride including Marshall Wall, Hyway 1 etc. I
believe that Cameron is coming on the road ride, and hopefully Jasmine
also...along with many other adults..
By the way, if anyone sticks around after the mtn bike ride we can
have lunch at the Iron Springs Brewery..right across the street from
the Java Hut

The NorCal League has posted the following 2008 TENTATIVE RACE SCHEDULE:

"We cannot release an official 2008 race schedule at this time.
However, we anticipate a schedule similar to last year. We endeavor to

how things are shaping up:

March 9 - Granite Bay (Folsom)
March 30* - Grants Ranch (Santa Clara)
April 13 - New Melones (Angels Camp)
May 4 - Toro Park (Salinas)
