Hi everyone,

 I hope you had a great summer and had a chance to get on your bike and have fun.  I've seen a few of you out there, racing or riding, and I hope you are looking forward to racing for the team this upcoming season.  

      I just wanted to let everyone know that there will be a few changes in leadership for this new season. This past season presented alot of challenges due to the size increase from previous years (growing pains). Coming on board will be Joe Lyons, a parent of a sophmore rider at Northgate High.  He has been involved with SempreDuro, a local road cycling club, and has raced in the past.  Also, new on board will be Gordon Reese.  He has been an assistant coach for the  El Cerrito team for the last few years, and has just recently moved to Walnut Creek. He brings his experience with the League, as well as mountain bike racing experience himself.

     Craig and I still will be heavily involved with the team, but Joe is taking on the leadership of Head Coach.  Craig, Gordon and I will be the Assistant Coaches. We have already had one meeting and agree that this change will be a good thing for the growth and stability of the team. Also on board to assist with rides so far are Becky and Dan Levy, as well as Daniel Patten.

    To assist us, we have started a new Yahoo group list that utilizes our team name.  It is invitation only and soon all of our communication will be on the new site.  Please e-mail me, Craig, or Joe to request to be to be a member of the group, and also to indicate your interest in racing for the team next year
