The Tucson Derby Brats, a.k.a. Tucson Junior Roller Derby, is the nation's first league dedicated to Flat Track Roller Derby for kids ages 10-17. We started February 2006 as a few friends getting together once a week to skate. Since then we have grown quite a bit and at the beginning of the year we began the process of formalizing our own league. For many months now we have been practicing hard, and we have enough kids to field two teams. We are currently preparing for our first bout, an exhibition game this summer during period breaks at TRD's July 21st bout. After that we will start with a season of our own.

When we aren't skating, we do our best to help our big sister organization TRD by doing whatever we can to help at bouts and scrimmages. Running the scoreboard, selling raffle tickets, keeping the track clean, stocking locker rooms with treats: we do it all. If you or someone you know is between 10 and 17 and interested in learning to play Flat Track Roller Derby, we'd love to have you. It's a lot of hard work but so much fun!
