Great house...near LODO and light rail.

The house is a 2 bedroom (both large), 1 bath (antique claw foot
tub) Victorian house for sale in Denver near City Park. There are
hardwood floors and original woodwork with an updated kitchen and
electrical. It has a 1 car garage and 2 off street parking spaces in
back. The back yard has a sprinkler system and a 5 or 6 ft. fence
(great for a dog). The entire yard is beautifully landscaped. The
house is a little over 1400 sq. ft. with another 600-700 in the
basement. Asking $255,000.

Address is 2648 Race St. if you would like to drive by. (Please
call or email for an appt. to see the inside.)

Feel free to call or email with questions or inquiries.

What else are you doing Monday? There is no work and no school, come
play some disc. Track workout Saturday, RedRocks stairs Sunday, then
pick-up Monday. Its really a great plan.

Where? When? : Monday 1ish, the spring league stadium, iliff and logan
north side of the park, we will poach the fields and play pick-up and
picnic. Bring beers and snacks to
share. If you can bring a grill do that too.

terrific,

I'm kinda sorry if you get this twice, but not that sorry. Also pass
this on to only cool people, no nerds or people with light sabers.

Hey all,
Does anyone know of any pick-up soccer games going on around the
Denver West/Golden/Lakewood/Arvada area? I'd like to get back into
league play soon, but I want to knock some of this rust off with some
pick-up games first.

Any help is appreciated,

Hey ultimate crowd... did you know that front range mountain biking is
not guaranteed?

The Denver area population has exploded over the last 10 years
resulting in a dramatic increase in trail use by a broad spectrum of
users along Denver's Front Range. Naturally, new issues have surfaced
which need to be addressed. We, as mountain bikers, have become
complacent, and perhaps even spoiled by the open access to the
numerous trails we enjoy in and around the Denver area. Without
organized, credible involvement of the mountain biking community in
land use planning meetings, educational outreach and other
contributions, we may soon show up for a ride at our favorite trail
only to see a sign that has confronted mountain bikers in many other
areas around the country: "Closed to bikes." Don't think it can't
happen here it did on Mt. Tamalpais, considered by many the very
birthplace of mountain biking.

Several volunteers have stepped up to contribute their time on your
behalf, but we cannot do it alone. We need your help. We as mountain
bikers must work together to ensure our rights to ride our trails.
Without your involvement, we lack the strength required to impact the
decisions of our land use managers. Don't let what happened on Mt. Tam
happen here. Get involved. Please join TCS today so that we can all
ride tomorrow

Let's roll!

Hey folks,

Amazingly enough, I have 12 deposit checks in hand for GRASS, more than
2 weeks before the tourney. I think that's a record. I've been told 2
more are on their way. That leaves 2 spots open. If you want in, get
in touch with me ASAP. Any more Denver types? I also have pickups of
both genders if you're trying to get a roster together and need players.

Jayson's roasting a hog this year. You don't want to miss it. (Unless
you're a veggie?)

Cheers,
Tyson

Greetings Ultimate Women!

WORM is gearing up for another great season of Ultimate and we would
like to invite you to join us! Our first open practice is this
Saturday, May 14th at Valmont City Park. The weather is calling for
70s and sunny skies so it should be a great day to play!

Additional open practice/tryout dates:

Wednesday May 18th - 6 - 8:30 pm Valmont park
Saturday May 21st - 10am - 12:30 pm Valmont park (Tentative)

WORM is a team of women ultimate players who want to play
competitively while balancing the team commitment against other
priorities. WORM players aim to play hard, have fun, and improve our
personal and team skills. We plan to work hard this season starting
out with one practice a week and moving to three a week as we move
closer to the series. Practices are geared toward building individual
skills and developing WORMs team foundation as well as getting (and
staying) in great shape!

If you are interested in playing competitively and having a blast
playing with awesome women, please subscribe to our interest group by
sending an e-mail to: WORM-Interest-subscribe@yahoogroups.com or by
contacting one of the tryout coordinators:

Hey all,

Just a quick reminder for those of you that work in and/or around
the DTC area that there is lunch time Ultimate pickup at WillowCreek
Park.
It happens every Tuesday and Thursday staring at about 12:15.

The weather is staying very nice so wouldn't you rather throw the
disc around a beautiful park, get some running in, and enjoy the
great sunshine than stuff your face while pecking away at your
computer in your miniscule cubicle?

If interested but need more info go here:

Thanks!

This is your official notice that the orange fences are down, finally,
and the grass looks nice.

If anyone (read: not me) is inclined to restart weeknight pickup, I'd
suggest starting it soon to claim some space and make the rest of the
claim jumpers aware.

Hey everyone,

Sack Lunch is headed for a big year this year.  With a 4th place finish at SW Regionals our first season, followed by a 3rd place finish last season and some big early season wins (including victories against Nationals teams E-Pig, KAOS, and Johnny Bravo), we are looking to make a run at bigger and better things this year.

Sack Lunch tryouts are coming up soon.  Tryouts will be the same format as in past years.  Practices (2 weeknights each week) will be OPEN to anyone who wants to come out, for the first month or so.  The roster will be set after we play in the Solstice tournament in Eugene, Oregon (June 18-19).  A full schedule is listed below.

To avoid leading anyone on or wasting their time if it is clear that they will not make the team, some decisions may be made before Solstice, really at any time.  It is recommended that all players make as many practices as possible, since commitment level will figure heavily into roster decisions.

There are 19 players from last year's team coming out again, but nobody is guaranteed a spot, and we are looking to field a slightly larger team this year, meaning there are spots to be had.

Practice Schedule:

Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6:00pm beginning the night of May 2nd.  Expected location is Ulysses Park in Golden; if this changes we will let you know.

Practice will go through June 15th, followed by a trip to Solstice in Eugene, Oregon (June 18-19), after which, a roster will be set.

We will take most of July off, after which we will reconvene with our set roster.

***If you are interested, please email me at the address below, and tell me about your playing history (if I don't already know), and let me know you have interest in playing with us this season.***

Cool.

See y'all at the fields.

As much as Kansas City Ultimate has been trying to keep this MidWest
tourney from all of us fine players here in Colorado, they did not
count on a insider being on an Austin, TX ultimate list. I know if
this came from OD there would be no `huh?' as to why someone from
Colorado would be an a non-Colorado ultimate list as he subscribes to
all North America (and Russia) ultimate lists but since it is from
me, you will need to just dismiss the `why'.

So, here is is. Our nearby neighbors to the east are putting on a
tourney, only a 9 hour car ride from here or a $300 airfare. The TD,
Dan (dan@...) would be more then happy to set up hosts to allow
teams to cut down on costs (and will forego the requisite BJ from
Train). So coordinators, contact him * um, Dan not Train for
the BJ. Also, check out the site, it is damn professional!!!

Hello,

I am one of the Ultimate Coordinators for the Kansas City Ultimate
MayFest Memorial Tournament, May 14-15. We are trying to increase our
exposure to teams and players outside of our Midwest Region. For the
2005 MayFest Memorial Tournament May 14-15 we have a lot planned. We
have expanded our teams this year to include EVERYONE
who wants to play. We have slots for Women, Men, Mixed and Juniors.
We are Pick-UP friendly, so if you even have a small group who want
to play together we will accommodate you.

We have planned a Party, Dinner and Sunday Breakfast, plus more...
This is a fun Tournament and not one to miss.

For more info or to sign up, check out the MayFest Memorial website

This is a fun tournament and it would be great to see you out.
Please pass this onto the Women and Men players that you know
(except to those suckers in Colorado*)
