We're looking for male experienced club ultimate players turning 33 in 2008
or older.
It's a great year to play masters ultimate. Sectionals and Regionals will be
in Colorado this year. Two masters teams will make it to Nationals from our
region. Justin Bogan and I are captaining a new squad, *Double Black*.
We're committed to managing a program that'll foster our success at
Nationals.
Come Join Us.
Our next *practice is *this Wednesday, June 25th 6:30-8:30PM at Dick's.
We'll be alternating each week between Dick's and Creekside Park in
Wheatridge.

w<http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pTY3Jj1785NGsrejD54U5fw>
Goals:
1. Make it to and perform well at Nationals...Play the best Ultimate we can
with the team we have.
2. Have fun with friends and family...Our sidelines will be a fun
environment for kids, significant others and fans
3. Build a program that will last, that will continue to improve, attract
the best local talent and represent premier Colorado Ultimate.
We'll have a lot more to say about how we intend to achieve these goals, but
here are a few key points:
- We'll use practice time wisely. We respect the commitment you're making
to the team and the sacrifice you and your family are making to support our
team goals
- Everyone will have a voice. We want to hear your ideas for achieving
our goals.
- We want to understand your personal objectives and expectations for the
season
- Players are responsible for their own conditioning. Practices and
track workouts are available, but not initially mandatory.
- The best players at the time of Fall Series will get as much PT as
their conditioning allows
- We'll establish a playbook and expect it to be second nature for you by
the Fall Series.
- We'll keep stats. My wife, Mikki, and an injured teammate, Jeff
Albenberg, are committing their time to our practices.
What We Need From You:
1. Come to practices, run, have fun, ask questions.
2. Tell your friends...especially if they're turning 33 in the '08 calendar
year or are older
3. We do not expect any commitments early on. We'll figure that out later
Please feel free to contact us with any questions/comments.
Regards,
Double Black Co-Captains

Cow Pattie Classic II will be held at the UNC athletic fields in Greeley on

night at Crabtree brewing with a live band, free food, free brews, cups,
basketball, and in general just a great time.
$300 a team. $100 deposit due by August 2nd.

The 17th Annual GRUB tournament will take place on July 19-20 at the Pleasant
View Soccer Complex.
Right now I searching for another mixed team to fill a bid in the expanded
A-division (a team dropped). For details visit:
http://gru.org/archive/grub-2008
Charity:
As you may or may not know, GRUB is more than a competitive tournament
but is also a fundraiser for a local charity. This is one way ultimate
players can bring the spirit of game off the field and into the
community. Proceeds raised will be donated to Eco-Cycle to fund the
development of a new program helping similar events also become Zero
Waste. Since the mid-1990s, Eco-Cycle has been partnering with
industry, businesses, municipalities and community event to provide a
Zero Waste model for the rest of the world. If you are coming to GRUB,
please consider the charity aspect of the tournament. Prizes will be
awarded to individuals and teams who raise the highest pledges above
the entry fee. More information about Eco-Cycle, the pledge sheet, and
prize details will be posted on the GRUB website.

My climbing and kayaking buddy is out of commission and I'm wondering if
there's anyone out there who goes to the Golden playpark fairly often (once a
week) or who climbs (i prefer Eldo) that has occasional week days off, though
weekends are often good too. I'd also like to hit BV and Shoshone in Glenwood
Canyon a couple of times, and of course longer trips. I'm boating III-IV and
climbing up to 5.11 w/a little French free at the upper limits.
I'm a new dad so fast and light is the best approach...
Let me know, Brendon

Hi, all
I am looking for a few women to round out my summer ultimate league team. We
will be playing semi-competitive (B) Colorado Ultimate Association league on
Tuesday nights at Cook Park (Monaco and Evans area).
Games will be at 6 and 7 pm. Seven week season plus two weeks playoffs.
Should be about $50 for the season depending on the number of players. League
starts Tuesday June 17th.
We tend to be a competitive minded and experienced team but we have a lot of
fun too, so I'm hoping to take on players who are in that same vein.
If you're interested, please email me at m_a_turner1978@...
Thanks,

Calling all Ultimate hikers!Who wants to spend a glorious day hiking a Colorado

time hiking with the different groups. Below is the information aboutthe two
different hikes. Please let me know if you are available and wewill take it from
there. While we will be leaving from each trailhead earlyin the morning, there
are camping locations near each hike, and if you needsomething a little less
rustic, we can arrange something at the locations wewill be staying at for a
small cost. These are both great Colorado Hikes -the first one is 14, 003 feet,

Yeah nice try "Spaleef" (if that is your real name). Or is your real name JEFF?
At PLAYHARD.COM? Did you really think you could play us like that? Next time
you tailor your well known internet scam to an American subculture, try to pick
one that doesn't have Identity Protection Professionals and a volunteer army of
fitness gurus, rebar enthusiasts, and vigorous Wal-Mart picketers. We had
another mole try to penetrate this group earlier this year, and just like your
(FAKE!) treasure, you can find him in a box somewhere outside Durango.

Hey Shep!!!
It's a joke. Notice the name... Belade Katchahammer? There's a hat
tourney coming up in Grand Junction on the 14th, entry fee is $20. Details
at the UPA site, under tournaments.
It's good to know you're using your profession to watch out for us,
though! And don't read anything into it, but I don't think I'll be paying
you with a check anytime soon...

Hi to everyone,
As some of you may know, I am a wine consultant with the Traveling Vineyard. We
do in home wine tastings and I'm looking for hosts. Hosting is a great way to
earn discounts and a free bottle of wine! Not to mention, I bring 5 bottles of
wine to your home for you and your friends to taste (at no cost), then everyone
has the opportunity to purchase from our vast selection of wines and products.
All of our wine is rated 89 or above by Wine Spectator and brought to you at
great prices (the average is $14.99, but there is a wide variety). The Traveling
Vineyard purchases from wineries all over the world and buys the majority of the
batch, so most of our wines can't be found in stores.
Consulting is a great way to learn more about wine and make extra money, while
running your own business on your own schedule. You needn't know a lot about
wine, TTV provides all the info you need!
I have openings for tastings in July and August. Please let me know if you are
interested in hosting a tasting, or would like more information on becoming a
consultant. Thanks for taking the time to consider this great opportunity.
Cheers!

Dear Kacey, You have a rare chance to play a personal and direct role in solving
the climate crisis by picking up the phone and calling Senator Salazar. Just
weeks from now, the U.S. Senate will cast its historic vote on the Climate
Security Act (S. 2191) -- the most promising, bipartisan global warming bill

that want to weaken or kill this bill outright. Your senator needs to hear from
thousands of pro-environment constituents like you if we are to swing some votes
over to the Yes column and start cutting America's global warming
pollution. Please call as soon as you can: Senator Ken Salazar: (202)

message on the answering machine if you can't reach them. After you've placed
your call, please reply to this email message so we can track the progress of
our campaign on Capitol Hill. Time is short. Our planet can't afford to wait
another year for Congress to take action. With enormous ice sheets collapsing in
Antarctica...the steepest decline in Arctic sea ice on record...and Alaska's
polar bear population headed for extinction by 2050, the time for action on
global warming is now. America's Climate Security Act is a monumental step in
the right direction. Passing it will finally cap and reduce our nation's global
warming pollution. But we need to strengthen it even more to ensure it has the
teeth to get the job done. You can help make that happen by calling your senator
today. Thank you for making your voice heard at this critical time.

Hi Everyone,
I'm setting up a googlegroup and website for folks that are interested
in playing ultimate frisbee during the lunch hour on Tuesdays and
Thursdays. The website allows people to sign up if you are interested
in playing and sends out an email only twice (once for the first
person that signs up and then when a quorum of 8 people has been reached).
Go to http://groups.google.com/group/lodo-ultimate to sign up for the
googlegroup and use www.lodoultimate.org as the website where people
can sign up for a specific day.
I'm hoping to make Tuesday our first game.

Hey again everyone,
We could still use some scorekeepers (don't worry, it's easy!) on Friday and
Saturday, as well as a couple miscellaneous tasks all weekend.
If you can help us out hosting one of the best tournaments to hit Colorado
this year, please get in touch.
Thanks,

Are you wondering what you're going to do this Memorial Day after you
finish running the Bolder Boulder and before you have your big
neighborhood barbeque? Well, GRU has just the thing for you...
2008 MEMORIAL DAY MIXER
The inaugural GRU Memorial Day Mixer will be held on Monday May 26 at
the Pleasantview soccer complex in northeast Boulder. (If you've never
played on the grass at Pleasantview, this is your chance to see how
nice it is!)
Notice this is a MIXER, not a tournament! Our intent is to create
random teams with an even mix of skill levels, so everyone can meet new
people and have a good time in the sun. Players of all skill levels
are welcome, although we ask that you have at least a season of league
play under your belt (to avoid possible frustration for anyone
completely new to the sport).
Teams will be created in the morning, play two games, and then reshuffle
for two more afternoon games. The schedule is as follows:
9:30 - 10:00 registration, team assignments, warm-up
10:00 - 10:50 game 1
11:00 - 11:50 game 2
12:00 - 12:30 lunch break, re-assignment of teams
12:30 - 1:20 game 3
1:30 - 2:30 game 4
Cost is $10.00, payable by cash or check at registration.
Games will be 50 minutes, played to time rather than points. We'll have
a 10-minute gap between games for people to change fields, etc.
GRU will be giving away sweet schwag to random players. We'll also
provide water and fruit (although you may want to bring a light lunch).
And finally, IZZE has graciously donated several cases of their awesome
fruit drink for us.
Walk-on registrations are welcome, but may be subject to availability
depending on the number of players already registered and the field
space. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged. To register, use our
easy online form:
http://mdm.zingstudios.com/register.php
We hope to see a good crowd, and welcome our neighbors "down south" in
Denver as well!
E-mail the tournament director, Shoeless Jeff, at
jeff-ultimate@... <jeff-ultimate%40neobox.net> with questions.

My son left his headphones and mp3 player on the field during the late
game last night (Tuesday, the 6th). He would really appreciate it if
you could get them back to him, thanks!
