Thanks to all those folks who came out and played Ultimate on Labor Day. Since
a portion of the money donated will be matched, we raised over $2,800 to benefit
the American Red Cross and Baton Rouge Area Foundation. Seventy-five (75) of
you came out to play. We appreciate all of you who came out with such short
notice, and for everyone letting us pollute the listservs and your email inboxes
with messages promoting the event. Pictures from the event are available at

graciously agreed to host information about the tourney on the
sloanslakeultimate.org website (the site also has information about the fall
schedule for Saturday pickup games).

Our sturdy crew of volunteers included: Lori Moehn, Disco, Dave Rosenbaum, Julie
Conrad, Mark Turner, Melanie Brooks, Chris Keener and Jon Slotta. Michelle
Purer is responsible for us having photos from the day; more will be available
later as well. Special thanks to Disco for bringing out a sound system and
tent. The sound system allowed us to have voice-of-god sounding instructions
throughout the day. Thanks to everyone for making this an incredibly painless
tournament to run.
