Each year Grass Roots Ultimate selects a different local charity to donate any
proceeds from GRUB. If you are playing GRUB in two weeks from now I thought I
should take a moment and talk about the charity side of the tournament. This
year, we are supporting the Boulder Carriage House Community Table, which
provides meals and social services to the homeless population in Boulder. For
example, Carriage House spends about $10K a year on assisting people to purchase
needed prescription medications.

It is difficult to promote a small charity with little name recognition. There
are many wonderful organizations competing for everyone time and money, but
please consider making an extra donation. Pledge sheets along with other

We raise money from the team entry fees AND pledges from your friends, families
and coworkers. As an incentive for you to raise pledges we will be giving prizes
to individuals and teams who can raise the largest donations. The top prize is a
$200 Gift Certificate to the Wright Life. Also, I will give out a limited
number of passes to the front of the dinner line for larger donations.


In addition, anyone donating just an extra $10 will receive a special GRUB
commemorative pint glass (while supplies last).
