Apologies for the spam.  This referral is one of the very few I would ever
consider making.  A former consulting colleague of mine has built a small, fee
only financial planning firm, which may or may not be of interest to you. 

Fee only financial planning is more ethical than most financial planning in that
the planner is not trying to sell you a specific set of investments.  Instead,
you pay the financial planner's time and not commissions.  Paul is a very sharp
guy and very down to earth.

Hello James,
 
I hope this email finds you well and enjoying our springtime weather!   As
you may have heard, I have left AIMCO and am now working full-time on growing an
independent personal Financial Planning firm, named oddly enough, Staib
Financial Planning, LLC.  This is something I had started several years ago,
and have grown it gradually over that time to where I’ve now decided to pursue
it full-time.
 
In summary, I’ve created the firm as a fee-only financial planning firm,
meaning that I do not sell nor am I commissioned on the sale of any products. 
I work for and am paid exclusively by my clients, much like an IT consulting
company.
 
I’ve attached some background information regarding the firm and also included
a link my website which contains additional information.  If you’re
interested or have a need for financial planning services, I’d certainly
appreciate your consideration.  Alternatively, if you’re aware of someone
else who would benefit from financial planning services either now or in your
