We are less than 4 weeks away from the 2nd Annual Master's Tune Up
sponsored by the Colorado Ultimate Association…and we have `most'
everything nailed down. Please forward this info on to your teams
and/or any other master's players.
Rocky Mountain Master's Tune Up Website (will be updated soon)

Schedule:
Very master's friendly. We start late on Saturday so people can fly in
Saturday and leave at a reasonable time on Sunday.
Saturday: 11:30 am – 6:15 pm (4 pool play games)
Sunday: 9:00 am – 2:30 pm (2 games (1 pool play and 1 reseeded) plus
finals is at 12:30 pm so people can potentially leave earlier if done.)
Brackets from last year…the schedule will be very similar.

Teams: (6 total – 3 fields)
Old and in the Way (CO)
Double Black (CO)
Desert Masters (AZ)
Hillbillies (AR)
Colorado Masters 1 (CO)
Colorado Masters 2 (CO)…still developing…so another team could take
this spot…someone take it!!!
Regionals is in Colorado so we are really hoping that this tournament
in September and regionals in October will generate interest in 4
master's teams from Colorado this fall. What a great opportunity to
play master's with your old friends...and it will help the region get
a 2nd bid to nationals like the SW has had for the last 3 years.
Field Location:
We should finalize our field negotiations mid next week. Normally, we
would use Dicks' Sporting Goods Park (last year's fields)…but there
was a big music festival on them this summer that may have compromised
the quality…we are still checking on that and availability. We want to
make sure the fields are very good. We should have them finalized next
week and I will send an update.
Accommodations:
We will announce the best hotel options once the final field
negotiations are complete.
Bid Cost:
$575 - $675 per team. $150 deposit due August 22nd. This is a
substantially lower cost then last year ($50/per person out-of-state,
$65/per person in-state). Price is not firmed up due to final field
decision. A team of 20 will be about $30/$35 per person. We may try to
give pricing break to smaller, out of town teams like last year. Cost
includes fields, field food, water and ice, and a trainer. We won't
have showers this year and we may let everyone fend for themselves for
dinner to keep the tourney cost down...but may get a good deal from
Wahoo's. Again, I apologize for not having final numbers…we just
wanted to get as much information out as possible.
September is one of the best months in Colorado, weather-wise. So, it
is a great trip, great fields, and great camaraderie preparing for the
fall series. Fall is in the air this week in Colorado…and we are
expecting fantastic September weather again.
