Ultimate friends,
I am on the Board of this Food Bank located at 32nd and Wyandot in
northwest Denver, in the church. Our Executive Director just sent out
this note (below) and I hope some of you might be able and willing to
assist as your gardens and schedules allow.

In addition we are having a Bowlathon fundraiser Saturday August 26th to
which you could be a monetary contributor to my bowling efforts or take a
bowling position yourself and collect at least $50 in your envelope. As a
bowler you get to bowl from 6-9pm as much as you possibly can! Email me

Dear friends of the Bienvenidos Food Bank,

Thank you so much for your past donations. We are now giving away 2 tons
of food every Thursday. And with more kids out of school all summer, the
parents really appreciate the extra food! In fact, we just got 1 ton of
food from The Denver Foundation to allevieate hunger and insecurities
about not having enough to eat. The circle of generosity in our community
flows very well!
We have 3 special needs at this time, if you’d like to help:
1. rice – any size – we’ll bag it
2. fresh produce from your garden (got any extra zucchinis?)
3. volunteers every Thursday from 4 to 6pm to help families load up
food boxes
