For those of you that haven't heard, Grass Roots Ultimate will be hosting
the UPA's 2006 High School Westerns Championship tournament in Boulder at
the Pleasantview Athletic Complex, on May 20-21, 2006!

High school "Nationals" is broken into Easterns and Westerns, to help ease
the travel cost for the high school teams. The tournament will include 16
open and 8 women's teams from states west of the Mississippi. In just the
last four years, UPA youth membership has grown from 350 players to 3,500
players - there are 30 high school teams in the Denver metro area alone!

We're opening up a contest for someone in the ultimate community to come up
with a logo for the tournament. This is to be used on discs, apparel,
website, etc. If you have graphic design experience, please consider
submitting a design (examples of last year's logos can be seen at http://hs-

and http://hs-easterns.upa.org/index.html). If your design is chosen for
the tournament, you'll get a $50 gift certificate to REI. Submissions are
due Monday, March 13th.

The logo requirements are:
- Must include the words "2006 UPA High School Western Championships" in the
design

- Must include the Discraft logo (graphic attached)

- Design can be up to 3 colors.

- Needs to fit the design specs for Discraft custom discs.
