Colorado Youth at Risk is seeking qualified candidates for the position of
Executive Director to lead a best in class youth mentoring agency with a
proven track record. Founded in 1994, CYAR has paired over 1,000 youth with
mentors and remains at the forefront of youth mentoring and education. The
agency is a thriving organization with great growth potential. Its
foundation is a dedicated and talented team of staff and volunteers.
The ideal Executive Director candidate will be a visionary leader with
significant management experience, as well as excellent business, strategic
planning and communication skills. This candidate is a proven leader who can
guide the Colorado Youth at Risk team to the next level in expanding
services and financial resources. S/he is responsible to the Board of
Directors for effectively leading and managing the organization toward
realization of its mission through implementation of the strategic plan and
policies established by the Board of Directors. The qualified candidate
possesses at least five years of experience, a bachelor's degree in
business, non-profit management or related field or equivalent experience.
CYAR is a unique organization whose programs produce extraordinary results
and inspire life-long growth for young people and those around them. The
entry program targets ninth graders who are at risk of dropping out of high
school and provides a highly trained adult mentor who serves as a coach for
the youth in a year-long community-based working group.
