I am going to Puerto Rico in December and staying in Isla Verde.  Does anyone know if there are paths to skate on.  ( like the bike paths here in Denver?)

This might be fun... a lot of fun.

Anyone up for this?

Registration looks to be $99.95 (follow link at bottom of above page).  You get to keep the Gorilla suite too.

skipping out on the LAST intended on (had schedule conflict).

The only Saturday I'll be out of town would be ... Nov. 9th (gonna go

Hey Josiah!  I plan on coming out.  Not sure I'll go downtown though.  I'm kind of slow too.  So, if any beginner skaters want to come tomorrow, no need to feel out of place since I don't skate too fast.

One more time, now with the new and improved list (this will be the last modification to our choices).

There are now 3 options:

1) Party at my place in the EVENING:
12666 Patton St
Broomfield 80202

We can take a skate from my house - neighborhood streets if desired, or just eat, drink, and have fun all night.

2) Party at WashPark (NOONish)

Get a picnic table, grill, and skate.

3) Party at Randy & Alex's place (NOONish) - (Across the street from WashPark - 540 S Franklin)

We can meet at his place, go on skate runs or take one of his crusiers for a spin and party all night until his neighbors call the cops on us :)

Let me know how y'all feel about these options by Thurs the 9th.

Any way we decide will sure to be a fun time

I've purchased two sets of skates online.  Bother were K2s. Have your friend do some online research to see if there are characteristics of the ones they look at. For example, K2s run a bit small.  I got my skates half a size big and they fit about right.  K2s also seem to run a bit narrow.

I purchased on pair from Inline Warehouse.  I've purchased a lot of accessories from them and they have treated me very fairly.  A couple of times, there were problems with what I received. Once a broken hub on a wheel set, and once some missing hardware on a brake assembly.  Both times they sent replacements immediately and did not want the originals back.  Excellent customer service in my opinion.

The other set of K2, I found through Yahoo shopping and it shipped from a small shop in Michigan I think.  Sort of a one time deal finding the right model, size, and price.

Good luck.

Scott

Ok, so we've discussed a few options for the party scheduled for the 18th.

The options thus far:

Evening party at my place (this would be after dark sometime)

Or

Afternoon bbq at Wash Park (with a backup of Randy Saucedo's if weather turns)

Let me know how y'all feel about these options by Thurs the 9th (I will not be skating this week; I am in GA)

Thanks to everyone who responded to my concerns about skating in the dark. I had
an
emergency come up and won't be able to make it this week but hopefully, I will
be there
on 10/8. I have really been looking forward to starting to skate w/ the group.
See you
then!
