The Moonlight Classic is coming up fast:

 

 

This year, for the first time, they are closing the course to automobile traffic. I am planning to ride, probably my road bike. I have decided I don't want to skate this event due to the volumes of bikes in close quarters for the first part of the ride until folks get spread out. I typically register the night of the event because I am a slacker.

 

Whatever wheels you have (some people show up in Kinetics entries!) it is a fun event... breakfast on the lawn at Civic Center park at 2am, as well as boy scouts serving granola bars after midnight... And feel free to wear a costume for the contest before the start time (or just to wear it!)

PS - Micah told me about the Denver Gorilla Run - http://www.denvergorillarun.com/ It's not until Halloween, but something to think about. Looks like they run out of gorilla suits at some point, so you have to register early. They have an award for the first gorilla to finish on skates!
