It,s the same crap every year.Some people take their cars to the
limit and beyond.Some people spend a couple of weeks and their cars
are ready.I think people come to derbies to watch the show.You wont
find a harder hitting derby than hoepfuls,piggott and the fair
derbies.I also like to watch other derbies as a whole the car counts
have been down at all the derbies i went to except kennett.Why, i am
not sure.I think it's because people like to watch the drunks and
fights as well as the derby because there is more action in the pits
than on the track.I also think more cars go to kennett because the
payout is so high.Most of the drivers that derby at kennett only
derby at those races and if they anything left over they go to
the "littlederby".You cant compare non fair derbies to fair derbies.I
heard at the last little kennett derby the stands had 3 people.What
i think is more important, is that we in this area are so lucky to
have a choice of derbies and rules that we have a voice in the
changes and we support as many tracks as possible.I think people
would rather watch 20 big dogs fighting it out than 60 ankle
biters.Some people say its to much work to build a car i
understand...that the best drivers at any derby always sit in the
stands.
