All,
Just a reminder to folks who are coming out today, Hockessin soccer
has scheduled practice on the main fields at 6pm. So we will
most likely be on the kickball fields to the back and left of the park.
Thanks and see you on the field!

Finally some nice-ish weather!
If you are in the Newark/ South Wilmington area and in the mood for
some ultimate, the pickup game is confirmed for tomorrow so feel free
to drop by Papermill park @5pm for some disc action. All skill levels
are welcome.
We don't have a field reserved, but are usually on the field
immediately to the right of the entrance. If you dont see us there,
its not a big park, so just check the other fields.
Things are getting started in Arden. We will be playing this Sunday at 11 AM. It may be a little cool, but no rain is predicted.
Hope to see you there.

Registration closes on 3/29, and waitlist deadline is April 5th. Support Delaware Ultimate, have fun, sign up today!
Ready to play some ultimate? Registration is now open for the Delaware Ultimate Spring League, working in conjunction with the Philadelphia Area Disc Alliance (PADA). Build skills before the league at the Pre-League Clinics (free and open to all). Checkout the website at www.delawareultimate.com for more details.
What is it? Spring League is at least a five week season including a regular season, playoffs, and finals (though we have the permits to expand on this). Teams will be chosen based on skill to ensure evenly divided teams. Rules will adhere closely to official UPA ultimate rules. Teams will be Co-Ed, and everybody over the age of 16 is encouraged to play.
Who Can Play? Women AND Men ages 16 or older. Ages will range from over 16 to under 60, so all are welcome. No prior experience necessary, though we encourage brand new players to attend a skills clinic (free of charge) prior to the first game (see website for more details). Register with a friend and play on the same team through baggage!
Where and When? Games will be played at the upper fields at Rockford Park in Wilmington, very accessible from 95. Games will begin on April 12th and play most Saturdays through April and May, starting at 5:30PM. It is not necessary to attend every game. How Much? $15 for the league and $10 annual PADA membership. PADA membership is required for insurance purposes, and is valid for future leagues. League fee also includes an official Delaware Ultimate frisbee!
I'd like to help. How? We are looking for folks who would like to help co-captain a team for spring league, or help plan summer league. Or, help market by forwarding this on to friends or colleagues who might be interested in playing some ultimate!

Just a quick reminder that there will be pick-up at Lums Pond State Park tonight from 5:30 until sunset at Area 3's football field.
Also, there will be 2 beginner's ultimate clinics at Lums Pond - bring friends who are new to the sport and come help me teach beginners the basics of the game!
Who: All levels of experience (Beginners for learning, experienced players for teaching/demonstrating) When: Saturday, March 29 and Saturday, April 6 from 4-6pm Where: Lums Pond State Park, Area 3 (football field on your left) Cost: There is a fee to enter the park ($3 per car from DE, $6 per out-of-state registered car), but the clinic itself is free. Registration: Not necessary, just show up! What you will learn: forehand and backhand throws, basic defense (marking, person-to-person defense, defensive positioning), basic offense (stacking, throwing to a moving receiver, cutting), and play in a short scrimmage! What to bring: Bring sneakers (cleats if you have them), clothes appropriate for running, and water

My husband, Jon, and I signed up for Delaware Spring league (and to be captains). I have a guy from work who has decided to play as well. I didn't know when I signed up that he would be playing. He is a novice and has never played in a league before. He said he knows how to throw from college pick-up but hasn't played since then (it's been years). Anyway, I was wondering if it would be ok to add him as baggage to our team. I told him to list us as baggage so hopefully he will remember to do that. His name is Kevin Anderson. He hasn't signed up yet, but will soon.
Thanks, Kristen

Hey Josh,
Any idea when Sunday frisbee in Arden is going to pick back up?
OK folks with the time change we have light, so Im trying to get the
pickup at Papermill Park rolling again.
TODAY 3/12/08:
We are trying to gather enough for a game today and *should* at least
have enough for a small game. At the very least we will throw it
around today. (weather permitting)
Ongoing:
It will take a little time to sort out the regulars, but we should be
meeting on a fairly regular basis again.
Specifics:
When: Weds starting at 5pm
Where: Papermill Park (Intersection Papermill Rd and Pollydrummond)
Our usual field is the soccer field #1 (as soon as you enter on the
right), but occasionally get moved around to the other 2 fields or
worst case the kickball field. Just look for the people with the disc
Mike and I will be there - we will bring discs and cones. It sounds like there will be quite a few folks out at Lums Pond this Tuesday - so if you are on the fence, it will be a great night to come out and check things out!
