Hello Cindy,
I too am relativly new to the area and have been playing v-ball for
over 25 years. At my age I can't say I'm "pro" or even "Good" any
more but I still like to play. I'm probablyu at a mid-low "B" level
I get 99% of my serves in, I know where to be on the court, can play
6-2 defense, can pass the ball to the setter reaonably consistently,
can set OK if it's not being called too tightly. I could never
really spike all that well, but can placy my shots.
Anyway, in my searching for V-ball in the area has not been all that
productive. Once Spring/Summer arrived, most is outdoor doubles or
beach (neither of which can I play at my age). In the cool/cold
months I've wound up playing drop in at the "Y" in Kennett Square on
Wednesday evenings. They also have it in the summer, but very few
show up. The level varies from night week to week. Usually the
first hour is pretty much jungle ball with the players who know what
they're doing just playing for the fun of it. Then some of
the "newbies" tend to drift out leaving the real players with only
one or two jungle ball players.
The Kennett "Y" is in Penn about 30 minutes from downtown Wilmington.
I'm from the Silicon Valley area of California and am spoiled by the
amount and level of v-ball there. I was in a League there called IVL
(Industrial Volleyball League) that ran all year at all levels.
Anyway, keep me posted if you find anything.

open games is it really open for all? Perhaps maybe not small
children but she is a tall 14 year old. Any suggestions would be
really helpful. I havent been able to find a group yet that meets
just to play VB, and am eager to find a place. Thank you.
