The National Women's Power Volleyball League is being
created to extend the life of the game of volleyball after
the collegiate level. It is intended for women who wish to
pursue a professional career in this sport in the US.

As I'm sure you know, volleyball was created in the United
States back in 1895.  Since that time, this sport has grown
in popularity and is played professionally in almost every
country
except the US. The vision of the NWPVL is to see the
sport of volleyball brought back home to the US and
celebrated here for the millions of fans who love this
game.

We are the future of volleyball. All around us
volleyball programs are being cancelled due to lack of
interest, lack of funds and/or lack of support. Young kids
with volleyball experience are being steered towards
other sports which can offer them a future. It's time
to let our youth know that their sport has a future.

The NWPVL is establishing teams in major metropolitan
cities through the US to give women a platform to display
their
professional talents in the sport of volleyball. They have
earned it, they deserve it and they have a fan base
which will support it. These teams will compete in an
annual conference during June, July and August.
Teams will be made up of the best available players in
the nation. Players are encouraged to sign with the
team of their choice to ensure team harmony and fan
loyalty. Games will be formatted to fit media time slots
to gain major sponsorship coverage.
