Well, it was HOT! But, we had nine shooters and shot six stages. The stage designers were George, Eric, James and Jeff. They did a great job. All of the stages had good round count and difficult shots. It was a great match. Here are the scores:
1. James Autry, DS, SS, 179.04, 2 FTN
2. Roger Lisenbey, DS, EX, 191.33, 6 FTN, 1 HNT
3. Howard Monsour, DS, UN, 202.33, 7 FTN
4. George Munford, SS, MM, 232.49, 6 FTN
5. Eric Mutsch, DS, MM, 254.95, 7 FTN
6. Jeff Holthus, DS, SS, 268.70, 8 FTN, 2 HNT
7. Mike Thompson, DS, D, 300.51, 10 FTN, 3 HNT
8. Thomas Reed, DS, UN, 355.55, 16 FTN, 2 HNT, 1 PE
9. Doug Malone, DS, UN, 391.75, 11 FTN, 3 HNT
Again, a great match. Thanks to everyone for their help. Especially, Jordan, Jeff's daughter, who helped tape targets and did a fine job. Hope to see everyone next month.

This could also be a sight picture deal. Modern handguns are trimed for a cover
sight picture,
not the traditional popsicle (military) sight picture for a bullseye.
Only an old fart would know this.

No offense intended but I would let another
shooter shoot your gun so you can rule out any
shooter error first.
You can shoot a heavier bullet that will bring it
up some. You can replace the front or rear or a
combination of both. ADJ rear will probably be
the quickest and easiest fix.
Good Luck!

Have you shot it from a rest? Have you had a known good shot try it?
Many folks yank shots low and blame the gun.
If yours is really shooting 6" low at 10 yards, the sight error is about .11." Not many adjustable sights have that much movement, you need a substantially higher rear sight and probably a lower front sight, both.

I have a kimber polymer 45 and the fixed sights are shooting about 6" low at 5-10 yards. Should I get adj sights to fix this or car I doing anything with the fixed sights I have now.
Also, what are the rules on high-cap mags? Mine holds 10 and 14rds respectively?

Hey guys,
The Duncanville Police Officers Association is having a benefit match at the
TDSA range. It was originally planned for April 29th but I had to move it
to May 21st due to some unforseen training. If anyone was planning on
coming to the match, the match fee is going to be $30 and I have some nice
door prizes to give out. Please let me know if you plan on shooting. We
will start at 9:00 am. We will have 7-8 stages so plan on about 200 rounds.
Hope to see you there.

It was a great day to shoot. The weather was great, lots of sunshine. We had seven shooters, shot six very challenging stages, and a fun "HORSE" game after the match. Thanks to Eric and Dan for designing the stages and setting up. The stages were great. Eric's 36 round stage was very interesting and Dan brought his revolver and suppressed AR15 for two of his stages. Great AR. If you weren't there you missed a great time. Thanks to everyone for setting up, taking down, scoring, SOing, etc. Here are the scores:
1. Rags C., SS, UNC, 162.75, 1 FTN, 1 HNT
2. Jeff H., DS, SS, 188.51, 6 FTN
3. Roger L., DS, EXP, 218.44, 4 FTN, 1 HNT (on Brother, double points down)
7. Dan B., DS, UNC, 390.90, 7 FTN, 2 HNT (on Brother, double points down)
Dan has no family left, and I don't have any brothers, so that hit shouldn't have counted. As you can tell by the scores, another challenging match. Congrats to Rags for winning both the match and the game of "HORSE". It went to a shoot off between Rags and Dan. Great shooting guys. Hope to see everyone next month, we hope to have a Thompson to shoot.
Just a Reminder. The Lone Star IDSA Match is this Sunday, April 9th. The match starts at 10:00 AM at Johnson County Shooting Sports Range. Eric and Dan are designing the stages. It should be a great match. Hope to see you there.

Hi to all here, the new website I helped start,
WWW.HUNTERSONLY.COM , is getting so busy that I probably will have to
drop out of your group. I have enjoyed looking at your photos and
reading your posts, but with the new site having over 50 posts per
week, and rising, I am running out of time. We now have over 300
members and over 1000 posts in 5 months, so it is VERY active, and a
ton of fun. Good luck to all here in the coming seasons, and I hope
you visit HuntersOnly sometime. Olen.
It was windy, but still a great day to shoot. We had ten shooters and shot six stages. Johnny and George designed the stages and they were very challenging. They tested many skills and everyone found them interesting and fun. GREAT JOB GUYS! Thanks to Johnny and George for helping to setup and take down, to Johnny and Tom for helping to SO, and to Eric, Dan, Doug, Mike and Reggie for helping to tape, score, and take down. The match could not happen without this help. Thanks. Here are the scores:
Double Stack Division
1. Tom P., EX, 139.47, 4 FTN
2. Roger L., SS, 211.22, 8 FTN, 1 HNT
3. Mike T., UNC, 229.27, 10 FTN, 1 PE
4. Reggie J., UNC, 283.77, 6 FTN, 1 HNT
5. Johnny B., MM, 284.45, 12 FTN, 1 HNT
6. Eric M., UNC, 291.51, 5 FTN, 1 HNT
7. Dan B., UNC, 354.14, 12 FTN, 2 HNT
8. Doug M., UNC, 412.41, 15 FTN
Single Stack Division
1. George M., NOV, 245.58, 5 FTN, 1 HNT
2. Felix C., UNC, 325.49, 5 FTN, 1 HNT, 3 PE
Again, thanks to everyone for their help and coming out to shoot. Next month Eric and Dan have agreed to design the stages, so be sure to come and enjoy another great day of challenging and fun shooting.
JUST A REMINDER! There will be an IDSA Match this Sunday at the Johnson County Shooting Sports Range. Start time is 10:00 AM. Hope to see everyone there.
