You really don't want to miss this.
Details: Sunday, Sept. 9th. At Treo Roller Rink (721 Gagel - the old Champs on Manslick). Doors at 6pm/Bout starts at 7pm. DJ Kim Sorise in the house. Tickets at the door are $15, cash only.
But it's not too late to get advance tickets, for less! And you even have choices:
1) You can buy them online, up until midnight Saturday night. They are $10 + nominal service fee. Tickets bought online will be held at will-call. Purchase here: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/19352 .
2) You can buy them in-person at local indie businesses that support DCRG, including The Atomic Saucer, The Why Louisville Store, Derby City Espresso, both locations of Carmichael's Books, and Ultrapop. Tickets at these locations are $10 cold hard cash, and will be available until close of business Saturday.
3) You can buy them in-person FROM A REAL LIVE ROLLERGIRL (!) tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 8th, at the Original Highlands Festival , which takes place in the 900 block of Baxter Avenue from 11am til 11pm. DCRG will have a booth with all their fabulous merch and $10 tickets to the bout. Live music, arts & crafts booths, activities for the kids, plus ROLLERGIRLS! Why would you do anything else tomorrow?
Oh, and don't forget about the after-party either. Directly after the bout, at the Monkey Wrench (Barret at Winter). $5 gets you in, with proceeds going to Mike Welch's medical fund. Great food, cheap drinks, and, well, rollergirls! Sounds like a party to me!
OK. Consider yourselves reminded. See you there!
PS: DCRG "merch bitch" MaMalicious wants me to let everyone know that the super-cool DCRG hoodies sporting Jeral Tidwell's amazing DCRG poster design on the back are back in stock! We haven't had them since last winter, so if you didn't get one last time, better scoop one up right away... cuz they go pretty fast. $30 each, at the bout.
