The only thing that never changes is change. I am so looking forward to the game on Versus next Monday to see how Darren looks. On Tuesday when I heard he's going on TV, I was benching. I pictured Darren digging into Don Cherry's closet for something to wear, and laughed so hard I dropped the 50# bar on my chest. Ouch! But I am betting he will be sharp. The red silk tie does the job. Another one who is ready for red silk ties is Shanny, #14. These are the champions of our era, and for me, the Supermen of our Red Wings. Go Shanny! Go Mac! We Love you, and sup[porrt you, on ice or off. The future is now, and success is assured. You will both be great.

I saw your message when it was new, and waited to say something, Josh, because you deserve all the encouragement you can get. Being inspired by D-Mac, Joey, Ozzie, Malts, Drapes, and especially Setvie Y is a great way to go! I was so impressed with Stevie's ten minute speech at the Hall of Fame thing last night. His style of leadership is so comforting. I alos like the styles of other guys. Brett Hull, for example, is awesome at solving crossword puzzles! I dearly Love Darren McCarty because he has been my life and my inspiration now for years. He walks through my mind and heart daily, as if he owned the place. It has given me life again, and I am doing wonderful things. I just finished modeling at a fashion show last week, and falling on the ice Saturday while learning the fine points of
hockey. I could not do that three years ago, or even two years a go, or even one year ago. I support D-Mac full out for that, with a nonjudgemental Love that goes on forever. I know when, where, and how he is at all times. I pray for him a lot, because what he does affects what I do. We all have the skill to do that to some extent, but Darren has it to an amazing degree. He inspires without even thinking about it. Badly used, it can also go the other way. Darren has something really big in his future, and we all have a share in it.
We are so fortunate growing up here in Michitario, or Ontarigan, whichever way you look at it, for this is a paradise of hockey, and great guys, and wonderful opportunities. You are tuned in to the right place for it, too, as the finest in the world gather right here. Be inspired by all those guys, and the whole Red Wing aura. Right now they need inspiration, after drop kicking their inspiration right out the door. But it may take them a minute to get that back.
Check out the CBC Sunday night production of Battle of the Blades, as hockey players do pairs skating with female figure champions. That's pretty inspiring, too. I am also inspired by Rheame Manon, who is sponsoring an all female hockey tournament this weekend at Novi Ice. She encourages girls to play hockey. Even old girls like me. I have not played since I was about ten. I'm 67 now. Exactly double Darren McCarty's age, to the day. Yet I am working to get in goal by this time next year. I also will run a marathon, run stairs, compete in weightlifting at the Senior Olympics in January, and continue to support all the things that I Love.
I also support the military, having spent a chunk of my life with it. I spent six weeks in Bahrain in the Gulf War myself. Keep on keeping on, for your job is of utmost importance. Keep looking to D-Mac, support him, and watch for something even more wonderful. He is immersed in changes for himself, and I rejoice in his being a fine family man, for that is Number One right now. God has put His blessing on us all, and you, too, as His Guardian Angel watches over you and keeps you safe and happy. Go D-Mac! Go Red Wings!

I get your posts in my emails about D-Mac he is and has been one of my favs for ever I am currently serving (since 1996) in the Military. Im glad you keep us posted because I got alot of my leadership from watching or listening to hockey. I'll use D-Mac's return (2008)or Joe Kocur's (1997) as a dont give up speach. Plus lead by example from Steve Y. Long story short Mac Drapes Malts Ozzy etc all stick it out and push until there is no gas left in the tank. I would love to see Mac back.
Thanks for the updates mam please keep them coming.

How wonderful to get word of our intrepid hockey player! He came through loud and clear over halloween with children, and he is doing so well at being a good dad! We can all be very proud. The times to come will be very important, but life is lived a minute at a time, so we can all be patient, making our own lives perfect as we would like to see perfection.
At my rink, everyone is preparing for those seasonal tournaments, and we get a chance to see the little ones, and in them, their favourite players., by noting the style of the young player. More than one shows Darren McCarty's influence, and it is a joy to see! The rage right now is to copy the style of a certain nine year old with his 360 puck-served- up-on-a-stick. I see the forty-somethings are even working at it! What a kick! I admit to trying for it myself! See what an influence we have without even trying! God blesses Darren McCarty, and I continue to pray for him several times a day. He has seen the result of that, too, I know, but I do not know if he recognises it as such. Go Mac! Practice your vocal skills! You will be so great! I hope Darren comes to the Senior Olympics in January and studies how Terrible Ted Lindsay handles it. He is
excellent.
