The Labour Day holiday is the time to rededicate ourselves to a new season, and a great time to send encouragement to Darren McCarty, who could use a bunch of it right now. We are all looking forward to our own ice time. It's a good time to observe positive thoughts for new enterprises. When we next see our intrepid hockey player, he will be profoundly changed, and I trust it will be for the good. I sense that one day the KHL and the NHL will have healthy competition between them, but for now, it's a war. The limit of five non-Europeans in the KHL certainly holds up progress. Our Darren McCarty is on the cutting edge of all this, and pioneers always take the hits. I would personally prefer that he go with the Toledo Walleyes. The very personable fish looks like Darren modeled for it, with a front tooth missing and oozing charm in a fishy style. Very loveable, just like our D-Mac. But D-Mac wants to play, and he deserves that, as long as he can. I endorse his efforts, know he will come out on top after some effort, and continue to pray for him daily with the chotke, the Carpatho-Russyn beads that are a part of my religious tradition in the Eastern Church. For milennia, our Irish ancestors lived and traded in Eastern Europe, so Darren is treading old ground. And if he does not make a connection in Mocva, we are just as happy to have him here where our days will stop being flip-flopped with nights, and his joy is our joy. Go D-Mac!! You are slated for greatness!!
