Darren, simply put, do what you have to do. I know this, your heart beats to
the sounds of Detroit, and I was impressed with the time you spent with my
nephew on the ice during the hockey camp. With 4 cups under the belt, I am
grateful as my nephew re-tells the time he spent with you one-on-one on the ice
at JLA; a shining star that held Stanley. It was so worth the trip from Milford
and for me, to travel from Kansas, to see him enjoy the time on ice. As another
year of hockey season approaches, I find myself reflecting on my love for hockey
and the Red Wings, and know that you are and will be a fantastic part of a
historical venue I continue to think of every time I lace up, even playing
leagues in good ol' Kansas. Looking forward to seeing you again, I plan to
shake your hand, as you made such an impression on my nephew, that he calls me
every week, and wants to talk about you. Uncle Joe.
