The Flint Generals are proud to announce that 3 time Stanley Cup Champion and former member of the Detroit Red Wings famed "Grind Line", Darren McCarty, has agreed to begin his attempt at an NHL comeback with the Flint Generals.

McCarty is scheduled to practice with the team on Monday at 10am and will be at Mondays game against Port Huron at 6:00 pm. He will briefly sign autographs inside Perani Arena prior to Monday's game and during the 1st intermission.

McCarty must be cleared by the NHL prior to playing for the Generals.

The Generals have been in talks with McCarty over the last two weeks in hopes that his road back to the NHL would start in Flint.

McCarty has been skating and working out in Troy, MI at Core Fitness is excited to get back in the pro game.
