His third game as a Flame left him on familiar ice.
"This city is home," he said. "This city has made me who I am, as a
player, as a person. I think that just representing Detroit, being
from Detroit, it's been an incredible part of my growth as a person.
To come back here -- I'm glad it's one of the first games of the year,
so I don't have to think about it.
"Coming into the rink, you have a little bit of emotions, but you just
try to worry about playing, and everything that goes along with it is
just going to happen."
