Thomas broke his arm during weight training. Out 4-6 week... what luck. But we
are off to a resonable start otherwise. Cant complain with 3-2 and its only just
the start.
It is only preseason but bulls win another close game. And without rose, miller
and thomas. Short handed, the bulls have shown they can still keep up. So should
those guys get healthy, i can only see really good things happening for them
this year. Lets shoot for a better record first.
I am the same owner only with a new email and I use the one a lot more. With
that said, I will be here a lot more, so the spam will stay out.
Ok, as for the preseason. I know its only been 2 games but I am excited, with
both of those games being wins. Is it something to look forward to? I hope so.
They mentioned their goal this season is primarily to get a better regular
season record. I think they can do it. I will be watching closely. Please feel
free to come and talk about it. Invite your friends. Lets get this group up and
running. Go Bulls!
With the upcoming season, and how well the Bulls did last season, Im hopeing
this club will see more activity. If anyone wanted to help me run it, ie: help
get rid of the spam and spammers; make it look better; add pictures, links and
whatnot, please let me know, I can set you up as a moderator. You can reach me
on YIM at Billmo234@...
Well they made a good effort. I thought they might catch up and make it
interesting again, but it just didnt happen. Bulls were just too sloppy and
careless. I think its mostly an experience thing. Alot of the newer guys havnt
had that kind of pressure. Boston has alot of experienced players who have been
in that situation before. My opinion, dont change the roster too much for next
season...Hopefully we will have Deng back, and some of the other guys will be
all healed up too and we can look forward to a new season with some experience
and actually do better during the regular season and into the playoffs next
year.
My predictions for next year: Noah and Rose are going to really shine. Now they
got a taste of what its like, and under that kind of pressure, they will have no
problem in the regular season. Hinrich needs work, he has seemed really cold
lately. Maybe that will change.
Bulls did great in the first period...second period comes around and they fall
apart. They are just making careless plays. Hinrich for one, hes just not
playing well at all tonight. Lets just hope they can turn it around in the
second half.
Both teams are evenly matched. But im hoping Boston will be too beaten and
bruised. Both teams have beat eachother on the others home court so there really
is no edge for Boston. The Bulls just have to want it more.

i love this series im going to watch it on tnt tonight
First off, Id like to appologize for being gone for so long. Im back and
getting rid of the spammers. Secondly, the Bulls have amazed me this season. Yea
they finished the regular season with an average record. But they have alot of
rookies. BUT Rose has fit in real well. They said he helped get the Bulls past
the first game against Boston in this series, something Jordan couldnt do.
Whether they win or lose this series, they played incredibly hard, all of them.
Boston is a tough team to beat, but the Bulls are giving it everything they can.
7 overtime periods in 6 games...Game 6 being exspecially exciting with 3 ot
periods. Both teams played really hard and I admitt, I didnt think the Bulls
would win. They seemed to be extremely tired tward the end, understandable after
that long game. I thought they didnt have anything left.
Should the season end sat, I honestly dont think they should make any major
changes to the line up, aside from maybe Brad Miller. He doesnt seem to be
contributing a whole lot, and doesnt seem good under pressure. Maybe that will
change as time goes on. But as for the other guys, Rose has been amazing, hes
had quiet nights, but then other nights he goes crazy. Noah plays hard and shows
alot of energy. Id like to see Hinrich back in the starter position.
They do come off the bench and have great numbers down the stretch though.
Anyway, again, sorry for being away, and hope to see people coming back.

from what ive read and heard, the bulls have a solid shot this season
to actually contend.. the defense should be very solid.. im just a
little worried about clutch shooting and free throws.. but not worried
about energy or defense.. and defense keeps teams in the game.. im not
sad to see Chandler go.. he wasnt progressing the way everyone had
hoped.. i think the draft that year they picked Curry and Chandler was
largely a bust. i mean, the bulls traded Brand.. Brand is as good a
ballplayer out there.. he's solid, plays good defense and can score,
something Chandler never could do very much of.. Wallace isnt a scoring
threat, but we have good guys in the backcourt for that.. and the 2 new
draftees will be well-suited to come in and play hard for Skiles.. this
will be a good year for the Bulls.. might not be NBA Finals worthy just
yet, but in a year or 2, its very possible.. especially since Miami has
maybe one year left before everyone retires and they have to start
over.. then all we will really have to worry about is what Cleveland
might become if they surround James with the right players.. of course,
they could do that again in Miami around Wade, but finding quality
players isnt always that easy..

After all the trades and what not, what do you all think of their
chances this season? Personally i think they have a chance this time.
Their biggest problem was detroit but detroit is gonna have a rough
time with the few big guys they lost, Ben Wallace for one. The Bulls
could use another vet like Wallace. Some of the people i wish they
would have kept tho, Pargo was a good player, he just didnt see enough
play. Tyson Chandler i was suprised to see go, he was good, he just
got in too much foul trouble. But then there are some i am glad to see
go, like Frank Williams who sat on the side for so long. Should be an
interesting season either way.
the Bulls sent JR Smith to the Nuggets for veteran guard Howard Eisley
and a couple 2007 2nd round picks.. Eisley played very little last
year, but could be a good veteran presence on a relatively young team..
JR Smith probably would not have seen much playing time this year, so,
that deal was in his best interest as well as the team's..

Bulls acquire F-C Brown, G Smith from Hornets for C Chandler
July 14, 2006
CHICAGO (Ticker) - The Chicago Bulls finalized a deal with the New
Orleans Hornets on Friday, acquiring forward-center P.J. Brown and
guard J.R. Smith for center Tyson Chandler.
The deal between two of the most active clubs in the offseason
originally was reported July 5.
Since July 1, the Bulls have made the biggest free agent signing,
prying All-Star center Ben Wallace away from the rival Detroit
Pistons. The Hornets also have been active, landing forward Peja
Stojakovic and guard Bobby Jackson.
Both teams had solid drafts as well. The Bulls landed LSU forward
Tyrus Thomas and Swedish swingman Thabo Sefolosha and the Hornets
selected Connecticut center Hilton Armstrong, North Carolina State
forward Cedric Simmons and Brazilian forward Marcus Vinicius.
The activity by the Hornets and owner George Shinn is very
surprising. When the team was in Charlotte, it was known as one of
the most frugal outfits in the NBA and went years without re-signing
any of its own free agents.
For the Bulls, the signing of Wallace to a four-year, $60 million
deal made Chandler expendable. He has five years and $54 million
remaining on his contract and is a shot-blocker and rebounder
without much of an offensive repertoire.
With the Hornets, the 7-1 Chandler joins a frontcourt that could use
a defensive presence alongside forward David West and forward-center
Marc Jackson, both of whom are offensive-minded. Chandler, 23,
averaged 5.3 points, 9.0 rebounds and 1.32 blocks in 79 games last
season, his fifth in the NBA.
The 6-10 Brown joins the durable Wallace, the athletic Thomas and
wide-body Mike Sweetney on Chicago's front line. He is an
outstanding locker-room presence and has just one year remaining on
his contract, giving the Bulls future flexibility.
"We really welcome the veteran leadership that P.J. will bring to
our team," Bulls executive vice president of basketball operations
John Paxson said. "He brings a consistent game at both ends of the
floor and we will be counting on his production in helping us
improve as a team.
Brown turns 37 in October. While playing out of position at center,
he averaged 9.0 points and 7.3 rebounds in 75 games last season, his
13th in the NBA.
In 999 games with New Jersey, Miami and the Charlotte/New Orleans
franchise, Brown has averaged 9.4 points and 8.0 rebounds. He has
missed just 35 games in his career.
A change of scenery might help Smith, who fell out of favor with
Hornets coach Byron Scott due to a poor work ethic. The 20-year-old
began the season as the starting shooting guard and ended it out of
the rotation.
The 6-6 Smith averaged 7.7 points while shooting less than 40
percent from the field last season, his second in the NBA. He will
have to work hard to impress Bulls coach Scott Skiles.

The signing is officially official.. 4 years for $60 million.. i've
read good and bad thoughts on this and generally think that this deal
is more good than not.. sure, he doesn't score much and can't shoot the
free throws very well, but how's that much different than Chandler..?
it is, because Wallace is consistent and he's got plenty of playoff
experience at this point... and Shaq has never shot free throws very
well, but how many rings does he have now..? i don't think Wallace is
worth $15 million per season though.. not many players truly are,
especially when they don't bring any offense to the table.. but
hopefully this will help and not hurt our chances of keeping our core
guys around for awhile(like when we have to sign Hinrich and Gordon and
Nocioni to long term deals)...

Big O was waived, likely with the upcoming trade of Chandler to the
Hornets for PJ Brown, signing of Ben Wallace and the draft last month..
Othella was good in spots, but i think we are only getting better by
waiving him..
jt
just one year after giving him a big contract(which was a mistake),
he's being traded to the Hornets for PJ Brown and JR Smith... Smith has
potential, but will not supplant any of our shooting guards as a
starter on this team.. i almost believe he might not even make the team
based on last year's motivation problems.. he will have to work hard to
impress Skiles.. PJ Brown is a solid player in the last year of his
contract which means the Bulls will once again have some financial
flexibility next year without Chandler's stifling contract to worry
about.. of course, guys like Gordon and Hinrich will have to be looked
at in the next few years to determine where deals will fall with them..
as i said before, this year's team is looking pretty solid and could
be a good year..
j
the Bulls are set to sign Ben Wallace... is that not awesome or
what...? i know he's getting older, but he's still a very good
defensive player and can definitely show Tyson Chandler a thing or 2..
with the recent draft of Tryus Thomas(via trade from Portland) and
Thefolosa, or whatever his name is, this team is only getting much
better.. 2006-2007 will be an exciting year for this team if the
Wallace signing is indeed done(have to wait til July 12th to know for
certain)... definitely good time to be a Bulls fan..

My friends and I created this really cool 1on1 and 3on3 basketball
league played at the local parks in your city. The league is a great
way to meet local basketball players, play more hoops, develop your
game, and compete for tons of great prizes on local and national
levels. Our extremely cool interface lets you challenge others to
basketball games on your schedule - when and where you want is totally
up to you!
Best part: it's completely fr*ee and you don't have to have a team or
be a great player.
Sign-up at http://bballin.com – it's completely fr.ee!
Email me at play@... if you have any questions.
Good luck on the courts!

Bulls fans
I’ll make this short and sweet. We thought it would be cool to have NBA
highlight videos, quality forums, stats, player profiles, salaries, free agents,
schedules, etc all on one site. Then besides all that good stuff, we wanted to
keep the viewer entertained. So we added links like players wives/girlfriends
pics, NBA fights, look-alikes, funny quotes, character issues “and more”.
If you’re at all interested, take a look around and sign up. Hope to see you
there.

ill take care of it myself, next time, if need be.. thanks bmo#'s
and yeah, they did ask too much of chandler to move from the 4 to
center.. i mean, he's tall enough, but doesnt actually have a
center's build or touch on the ball.. the Bulls still need a center,
and they need to do something about that in the near future or they
can continue to count on missing or just barely getting in the
playoffs and losing out the first round every year..
jt
They rely on chandler too much what they need is another big man,
another 7+ footer. He is improving but still isnt at what the bulls
need. As far as trades go...we have alot of people that are not
getting much play time so its hard to say whos good enough to stay or
go.
at first glance i thought you were talking about Morris Peterson.
hehe.. i dont know anyone in the draft.. we had a good center named
Brad Miller we should have kept.. Chandler could be the PF and things
would be a little better off.. but no.. had to get rid of him.. and
Brand.. krause was the biggest idiot ..
