actually, chandler had been playing better last time i checked..
considering how he started the season, he definitely had improved.. but
its going to take a lot more than what this group has to make it to the
level of the Mavericks or suns or spurs.. as ive read in stories in
the recent past, the bulls need a go-to guy.. someone like paul
pierce.. even better if the guy was a small forward, so as not to put
Gordon or Hinrich off the team.. i figure we do have some tradable
talent, like Duhon or Nocioni.. but i wouldnt want anything less than a
player the caliber of Pierce..
i dont think this team will make the playoffs without some sustained
winning streaks of 4-5 games each... and they need to be more
consistent during games rather than being lazy and getting behind
early..

Ben has started heating up this season, but i dont think its enough to
keep the rest of the team afloat. Hinrich doesnt seem to be producing
the big numbers he used to, same with chandler. Lastnight Gordon
scored a career high 39 points, but it wasnt enough for a win. The
rest of the team needs to get back on track or this is going to be an
ugly season.
i dunno if anyone else has noticed how the Lakers are playing and how
Kobe Bryant is scoring.. he scored 81 points in a game tonite.. im
actually rather disgusted by it.. its more because of his ball-hog
nature and Phil Jackson's newfound stupidity than it is anything else..
yeah, he has talent, but in no way does this make him better or even an
equal to Michael Jordan.. and im not saying that as a Bulls fan.. im
saying that as a fan of the NBA.. well, not so much the NBA, but
basketball in general.. his team is crap.. theres no one else on that
team worthy of really playing in the NBA except maybe Smush Parker.. i
wouldnt vote for him for MVP of the league because of the way he's
playing.. id give it to a player who actually plays team basketball..
anyway, just my 2 cents.. i hate Kobe Bryant anyway.. Dwyane Wade is
more of a team player.. Iverson.. Garnett.. Duncan.. MJ was the
consummate team player..
81 points..?! big deal..
jt
actually, i think Tyson Chandler has lost sleep with Curry not playing
with the Bulls anymore.. i know it's still relatively early in the
season, but Chandler isnt playing very well.. that contract the Bulls
gave him is starting to look like a very huge mistake.. I wouldnt have
given it to Curry either, but that money could be better spent
someplace else.. someone like Brad Miller would be a better center..
and they're playing Sweetney at center last i recall.. and he's shorter
than chandler..
anyway, the bulls are 10-9 at this point.. not a bad record, but its
not going to win any championships.. the team needs a solid center,
period.. i think that would be what the bulls need to take another step
in that direction.. gordon and hinrich and deng and nocioni are a good
start.. chandler, if he starts playing the way he is supposed to, can
play the power forward spot, like he's supposed to..

theres no doubt curry was a good player but i think people made him
out to be better than he was. It was always Hinrich or some of the
other guys you always heard about. I would have liked to see curry
play another year with the bulls but i dont think anyone lost any
sleep after he was gone.
yeah, this start is certainly better than last year.. but i still
think they are struggling with some aspects of their game.. the
spurs win was a great stepping stone, but i dont think they are
poised for a great season just yet.. i can see them getting to the
playoffs again this season, with the rest of the conference not so
great, but they still need some pressure down low and more offense
from the center/power forward spots.. its still a young team thatll
make some mistakes.. but its good these guys are getting a chance to
grow together.. and Curry isnt even playing regularly..

by the way, for those who havent heard, there is no IL this year in
the NBA.. so, no one will sit on the IL all season.. i dont know if
i agree with that.. its kind of a stupid plan, but hey, im not
running the NBA like those idiots who do..

my thought.. i dont know what i think about curry and that trade..
Sweetney looks like he could be a help, as does Thomas possibly...
but the trade probably is going to look bad for the Bulls in the
near future.. Curry was still young and despite is Defensive dis-
abilities, he's a pretty solid scoring threat around the basket.. i
think this leaves the bulls lacking for a center.. im not sure
Chandler will take to the role as well as a natural center.. he is
tall, but not sure if he has the mass to play with guys like Shaq
and all that..
overall, the team is pretty worthy of repeating last year.. just
not sure how well we will score consistently.. i hope the defense
steps it up a notch from last year also..

I agree, they also need to get rid of Frank Williams. I think he
played what, 1 game all last season? Davis was pretty good. Dont know
if the new guys were worth it yet. But I think we have a pretty good
team coming into this season. Deng will be back, Gordon has improved
since last year they say. I like watching the newer guys. So Im ready
for this season!
Curry refused a DNA test. If he has something to hide he needs to be
gone. He does no good being a bench warmer. Chandler sure stepped up.
Paxton has done great so far I back him.
It happened, Curry was traded along with Davis, to NY. I personally
wanted to see Curry stay. He was doing great before his season ended
early. Why not trade Frank Williams who has done nothing but sit on
the IL the whole season? Trade people who are worthless.
including the Bulls.. i dont see him getting a big deal from any team.
certainly not the bulls.. his work ethic, or lack thereof, has any
teams wary of getting him into a uniform.. the Hawks were willing, but
he was asking too much for what he's really worth.. if he could
actually put some effort in working on his defense and overall work
ethics, he'd probably be a great center..
anyway, if the Bulls dont re-sign Curry, even cheaply, what are our
options at center..? is chandler going to move to that position..? i
think he needs to stay at Power forward.. thats what he knows and what
hes been playing since hes been in the NBA.. any other ideas? it
probably would make the best sense to get a defensive-oriented guy who
can rebound and block shots.. then we can have our shooters playing
their game better..
follow my advice and stop posting this BS in a bulls club...
moderator.. where are you?

Bulls fans,
I have somewhat of a proposition for you. A few others and myself have created
our own basketball site/forums. We’re in the midst of putting up a lot of new
things like team pages, draft histories, player profiles, player salaries, free
agents, year by year team records, and much more. The forums are quite nice as
they are not any of the cheap free stuff you might find in some other places.
We’d like you guys to come and join us. As part of our site, you guys will have
input as to what goes on with the Bulls team page, the forum, among other
things. We’ll also need someone to moderate the board if you’re interested in
doing that.
Check it out. Hope to see you there.

Malik Allen.. not a bad signing, id say.. adds some front court
depth.. Chandler was re-signed, but i think they gave him too much
money... and no news on Eddy Curry, but im sure the Bulls will keep
him.. i just hope he will stay healthy.. when he is, he's a pretty
solid center and hopefully will continue to mature and get better..
its a young team still and if they continue to grow and mature
together, it could be a great thing..

Hi everyone,
I wanted to give you an update on our new 1-on-1 and 3-on-3
basketball league located at http://bballin.com. We've been live
since July 4th and the response has been crazy. We now have over
500 players signed up and the league is growing every day.
BBALLIN uses a fun ladder format for both 1-on-1 and 3-on-3 hoops.
Your goal on the ladder is to be in the top position. As you play,
your relative position on the ladder (the rungs) is automatically
adjusted to reflect the results of your games, your opponent's
record and how often you play. Play when you want, where you want,
against who you want, all summer long.
Your skill doesn't matter and you can sign-up by yourself for the 1-
on-1 ladder. It's a fun way to hit the courts.
The BBALLIN Team

havent posted here in awhile, so, sorry.. i was happy for the bulls
last year.. they did much better than expected.. i give the credit
more to the quality of the players than scott skiles.. i dont much
care for his coaching.. right now, its tough to say how the team will
fare come next season.. still a few months away.. and questions like
what will happen to eddie curry and chandler.. both can leave if the
bulls dont want to keep them.. thatd be a mistake if ya ask me.. sure,
they have been inconsistent, but i think these guys will continue to
mature and be better players, especially with great competitors like
Hinrich and Gordon around.. and ive heard rumors the Bulls bringing
Kukoc back in.. a mistake, but what do i know.. he cant defend worth
anything.. and for a reserve guy, he should be able to defend more
than score..
anyway, Jay Williams is not with any team.. but he's been playing a
little bit here and there and is likely to be ready to go by the start
of the season.. where he will play, i dont know.. in a recent article,
he said his first hope is to re-join the bulls, but the backcourt
seems pretty set with Gordon and Hinrich.. but id love to see him back
with the Bulls.. he was going to be good before the injury, and im
sure hes more mature now, so, he can probably still be good.. id hate
to see him someplace else and playing well, but if it comes to that, i
wish for him the best..

Hey, how do you all think the bulls are gonna do this season? I think
they will do better than last year, but they need to get rid of frank
williams and jared reiner. Williams has just sat on the IL all season,
and Reiner just sat on the bench most of the season. They need to grab
a tall center. they cant rely on chandler for everything.
Side note: I miss watching Jay Williams. He was pretty good. dont know
when hes coming back though.
I don't know if any of you guys/girls post on any Bulls message boards, but
I just thought I'd throw this out there. We're putting together a board
that's got more to offer than any board you'll find. Player salaries and
free agent info right there on the site. NBA Videos to download as well as
radio links for every team. We're in the middle of adding a bunch of other
info like draft histories, team histories, etc and year by year team records
are already up. Check it out if ya want. It's at least worth a look. I
look forward to seeing some you guys post.

I have started a poll to get an idea of the popularity of different
teams in the NBA. But rather than posting dozens of different polls on
each individual group, I thought I would just post one main poll on an
independent site and ask everyone to cast their votes in the same place.
I divided things into two different polls - Eastern Conference and
Western Conference.
To vote for your favorite Eastern Conference team, please visit:
http://www.sportsgamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4240
Choices for the Eastern Conference NBA Poll are:
Atlanta Hawks
Boston Celtics
Charlotte Bobcats
Chicago Bulls
Cleveland Cavs
Detroit Pistons
Indiana Pacers
Miami Heat
Milwaukee Bucks
New Jersey Nets
New York Knicks
Orlando Magic
Philadelphia Sixers
Toronto Raptors
Washington Wizards
To vote for your favorite Western Conference team, please visit:
http://www.sportsgamingforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4239
Choices for the Western Conference NBA Poll are:
Dallas Mavericks
Denver Nuggets
Golden State Warriors
Houston Rockets
L.A. Clippers
L.A. Lakers
Memphis Grizzlies
Minnesota Timberwolves
New Orleans Hornets
Phoenix Suns
Portland Blazers
Sacramento Kings
San Antonio Spurs
Seattle Sonics
Utah Jazz
Thank you in advance for your vote.
