I appreciate the information on the chamfered cylinder. I am only semi
familiar with the concept of moon clips from seeing them in used
during some minor action shooting. I put the single action hammer on
the gun but have not gotten rid of any parts, I am interested in
options, not changing from the original configuration. Speaking of
original configuration, I have been looking at the rules for ppc
shooting to find the reasons for the dao hammer. Almost all, but not
all rounds have to be fired from double action, but the final set can
be fired single action if my research is correct, this leads me to
believe that the person who had this gun before me modified it with a
hammer from an Action Cup gun as they all seem to require dao. I also
have pictures of one other PPC gun almost exactly like mine and it has
a single action hammer. Can anyone help me figure out which
configuration is stock?
I am not currently interested in trading the gun as I am trying to
make a full set. I would like the best of all worlds, a very unique
PPC gun with the ability to use all of the other barrel lengths and
shrouds as well.
As for the question of sights, it has no rear sight as the entire
sight bar slides off with the shroud so I will have to use an
aftermarket sight bar with all of the ribbed barrels.
