My Action Cup is based on the model 708, which is .38
Special only. The frame and cylinder appear nearly
identical to my model 15. The model 8/708 did not
have an adjustable rear sight and my AC (frame) has no
rear sight at all. I could probably re-chamber the
gun for .38/.357 by replacing the cylinder. My desire
is to keep the gun original. I have the model 15 for
.357 anyway.
My understanding is the AC was made available in 1992
but I am not sure if this when the gun was actually
manufactured, as this is right during the period when
DW changed ownership.
The heavy barrel shroud slides off just like any other
DW. I cannot find any information for barrel lengths
other than 6" as I believe this was the regulation
length.
