Trace,
With out the privlage of handling the pistol, I beleive the
differance you see in the cylinder is the camfered
chambers. The camfered chambers basicly speed reloading when using
Speed loaders by taking the "edge" off of the chambers. With my
first DW I some times found the casings would hang up on the edge
and blow a reload during a match. My current pistol is slated for
camfering at Cylinder & Slide, and no speed loaders are not
required. I am not familure with such thing as a .38/357 moon clip.
The little data that I have places the Action Cup and PPC in
production during the late 80's early 90's. The PPC was made
in .38/357 in both Stainless and Blued. Does the Aristocrat Sight
slide off with the barrel? If so, what sort of sight do you have on
the back end?
Not to offend, but I hate to see this rather rare pistol is taken
out of the original configuration. I would be interested in swapping
you my blued Model 15 with 2" (Norwich) and 4" (MA) barrels w/ heavy
shrouds, 2 holsters for your pistol only w/original hammer, you keep
the 6" barrel.
