I've been looking for this group for a long time. Glad to have found
you all. I'm a rabid DW wheel man and am looking for my first DW
1911.
A while ago I purchased a VL12 barrel for my DW 357 model 15. I had
hoped that it would make a great target barrel, but it doesn't shoot
DEWC w/ W231 worth a damn. I have been trying out 158 gr FP's with
H110 and it seems to like those better. With a twist rate of 1 /
18.75 I don't believe it likes slow but rather medium loads
traveling at a high velocity. My guess is that this barrel was
probably made for silhoutte shooting and not paper punching. Can
anyone give me any insight into this reloading project. I'd
appreciate it.
