i just bought a used Dan Wesson, 357 Magnum, with a six inch barrel.
i haven't even got to fire it yet. the model number is not marked on
the pistol, how can i tell what it is? it has a square tang on the
butt that holds the grip on, is this a small frame or large frame?
also, is there a listing of serial numbers by year so i can tell how
old it is? i used to shoot a friends many years ago and when i saw
this one in a gun shop for a very afforedable price i bought it.
people in these parts aren't too familiar with the name so it had a
low price tag on it. lower than many Taurus'. any help will be
appreciated.
