My scopes have always retained zero as long as I do not remove the
scope from the barrel. As long as the scope and barrel remain locked
together, I don't think you will have any significant loss of zero.
Of course I should qualify that statement by letting you know I do not
use my revolvers past 100 yards. So when I say no significant loss of
zero, I can only vouch for that out to 100 yards. Dan Wesson
revolvers are certainly capabable of target accuracy well beyond that,
but I use them for hunting and dangerous game protection, hence the
100 yard limit.
