I have some old parts manuals here that I can scan a page or two and
send them to you. If it has an external hut, that means the hut
actually sticks out the ned of the barrel shroud, it puts the vintage at
early 70's late 60's....The early years of Dan Wesson. To me, if it is
that, it is not worth $200. Repair parts are hard to come by if it
needs any. Some of the parts are still in use and some are not.

To identify the pork chop barrel from the current barrel, go to our
website at www.danwessonfirearms.com. If you look at the barrels
assemblies, you will see that the shroud is a straight steel extrusion.
The old pork chop has a tang that stuck down about 1-1/2" or so that
actually was the front end of the frame. By removing the barrel
assembly, you could take out the cylinder and crane. Todays design
doesn't allow for that, the frame must be disassembled. I will get a
picture of both scanned and send them to you. The gun you are talking
about if it is an old one is at best a house gun or belly gun, intended
to just point and shoot.

Mr. DW
