I don't have an answer on fixing it as I am no gunsmith, but the
basics for the factory fixin' it, are you call them, they send Fedex to
your house to pick up the gun. They then charge you $35 for inspecting
and finding the problem, they then call you with the answer and the
expected cost to fix. You decide if you want them to fix it before they
go ahead. That may sound strange but I had a guy who sent in an unsafe
basket case. The repair bill would have been more than the gun was
worth. The customer refused, but because the gun was not safe, he got
back a box of parts, not a firing gun. He bitched a lot but at least
he still has all his fingers and toes.
The Fedex charge should be less than UPS 2nd day air. Call the
plant, you'll get Ronda or Jenn or perhaps if you just want to talk it
out with someone, you can get Brian but he's busier than a one armed
paper hanger. Never hurts to try.
