Hi,
I have one of those "Why the hell won't it work" questions for anyone
out there. I have recently gotten my 4th small frame .375 revolver
(S/N 366XXX). When shooting it last month a problem developed with
it. It seems to work fine in double action but when I try to use it
single action, the "HAND" does not want to come up and engage the
fingers on the extractor, to rotate the cylinder when I pull back on
the hammer; it just jumps over the star wheel. In double action,
the "HAND" fully engages the finges just fine. I have repaced
the "HAND" and the "HAND SPRING" with no change. As I mentioned,I
have several of these revolvers and I have taken other ones apart to
compare the workings side by side and I cannot see any difference.
It is driving me nuts. Can anyone out there help with with this
problem? It may be something simple that I am just overlooking or it
may need factory work. If it does need factory work, I have a second
question for anyone who knows. It is taking three weeks to get parts
from Dan Wesson currently. Does anyone know how long it takes to get
a pistol worked on? Is there a minimum shop fee?
