Hey Steve--
I don't know much about the Hornaday 180XTP (your looking for a
'defensive' and/or hunting bullet?)
What I DO know is that I've had TERRIFIC 'luck' with "Oregon Trails"
Laser Cast bullets. They are very hard lead, and actually contain a small
amount of silver. Extremely accurate, and 'easy' on the bore.
I would recommend that you at least "give them a look" at:
